small tubs
    #567782 - 03/02/02 01:42 PM (22 years, 1 month ago)

I was wondering the minumum height tub I could use to fruit bulk substrate.
I would like to use a few tubs that are 24 inches long 16 inch wide 8.75 in height.
I would like to use straw/worm castings or horse poo. Could i do this or is it not worth the trouble?

Is there a strain of cubensis with a relitivelty low profile that does well in bulk substrates?

unless you've got some mechanized means of clearing the air periodically from this compartment, you'll get a greater buildup of CO2 in a shallow container such as this. The ideal container is tall and keeps the casing up high so the CO2 falls below the casing tins.

just a recent observation of mine.

EQ's do very well on compost or straw in my experience!
