Have you ever tripped at a sporting event?

Cause I've been thinking about it, and if Dock Ellis can pitch a ballgame on LSD, then I can probably attend one on LSD. I think it would have to be a day game, and it definitely couldn't be against the red sox, cause too many Sox fans show up at the stadium and I would just freak out.

I just would rather go to a daytime ballgame than a nighttime one if I was on acid. I dunno why. I guess I'd try both, but the first time, I'd just want to be under the sun on a beautiful summer day.

I've eaten mushrooms before many sporting events, many. Full season tickets for Gopher's hockey is the best.

Dock Ellis pitched a blow out that day
I wonder what it was about his trip that helped him pull off a no hitter. He must have been ultra tuned-in to the body language of the batters.
I took an 8th a mushrooms this year while attending a hockey game. The whole thing was quite interesting, observing the game, the fans, the whole thing. The large crowds didn't make me nervous at all, which I was afraid of initially. Instead I felt a kind of unity, a brotherhood of fans. When the home team was hurting, everyone else was hurting together. I forgot my wallet in my jacket when I went to buy a hot dog and this dude offered to buy me a new one saying "Intermission ends in a few minutes, I'll cover you"

Back in school I had immense dreams of becoming an NBA player. I played a bit in junior high, never made the starting line up. I was always too short, couldn't do anything in the post and I couldn't defend anything without fouling. I was a PG though and I did OK with assists and 3 balls. It hurt when it was obvious my dreams were dead. Nothing is more painful than realizing that you suck at the sport you love so dearly. After that I started doing drugs.

I don't think so - he was tuned into himself. Even though it was a no-hitter, he still gave up a ton of walks apparently. He had barely any control a lot of the time, and in his own words I believe he said he couldn't even see the batters or the catcher or the ump sometimes and he just threw the ball.

I've tripped at Fenway 3 different times. The only time it's an issue is when everyone tries to cram and leave at the end of the game...it makes me nervous. The first game I tripped at I stayed in my seat, petrified but amazed at the same time. The 2nd time I came out of my shell a bit more and enjoyed it a lot. The 3rd time I got thrown out in the 7th inning of a Yankees Red Sox matchup at Fenway for breaking a girls nose. I laughed the entire way as they escorted me out. I would recommend it to anyone who has done their share of tripping, and can handle themselves in front of a LOT of people without losing their shit.
Also, yes, Ellis walked like 9 people in that game...granted, a no-hitter, but still...that's a lot of walks!
He didn't know he was pitching until like 4 hours before the game. His girlfriend and trip partner read it in the paper like an hour after he dropped the tabs, and told him. Poor guy must have been shitting himself when they introduced him

Talked it over with my girlfriend and her brother and one day this season I'm gonna go to a game with the two of them. I'm actually gonna have it be a night game rather than a day game just because I don't want to be on LSD in his upper deck season ticket seats in 93 degree heat...rather it be a nice crisp summer evening. Should be a good time.

I cant imagine that.
Baseball games to me are like a high already.
I honestly get euphoric when I walk up the ramp and you can first see all the perfect green grass in front of you with the players out on the field. I still get a huge smile on my face when I first hit the stadium.
Being on some kind of psychedelic drug would probably send me into a frenzy of overzealous happiness, and lead to me being lead out after attempting to get my freak on with a stadium wall.

I know what you mean about that euphoria...I get sooo excited being in the stadium. Just as excited as I get when I go to see a great band perform. Just knowing that this one game will happen this one time right here and now and I'm gonna experience it.

YES. there's nothing like going to a pro baseball game.
OMR, do they do fly-bys at yankee stadium? they do a few a year here in atlanta, you should try to get your trip synced up with one of those games.

That would be a scene....
Huge Stadium + 30,000 Screaming People + Massive Firworks + Streaking Fighter Planes AND lsd too?
I predict your nervous system couldnt even handle it. I dont think anyones could. You'd be a quivering ball of nerves by the time the planes entered NYC airspace...
