too late for azures?
    #5677176 - 05/26/06 01:40 PM (17 years, 8 months ago)

Just wondering if it wouldbe too late for me to start from scratch making/spawning an outdoor azurescens bed that would fruit this year in scotland?

It's not too late if you have a bunch of colonized spawn (ie wood chips) ready to go into a bed.
If you have to start growing from spores it's probably too late.

Surely it wouldent take much more time to colonise some PF substrate, a sheet of cardboard and some wood chips??
Iv got a good 3 months to do it.

They tend to sit for a while once a decent substrate is plcaed in a bed - so it depends on what time of year it is there. If its spring its doubtful, although scotland is pretty cold all year around i guess.
