You and I in some ways think alike. In some ways I have iron will and in others I am such a sissy.

That and I had to rub in the fact that I was enjoying soft serve ice cream.

Honestly, though, I'm starting to consider a fruit fast. I've been intending on eating nutritious, and it seems to be the perfect way to start.

i think i am going to toss in the towel and go make a stir fry. my head is spinning and i wasn't properly prepared to start this. very cool and enlightening experience so far though.

next month, i am going to prepare for it by eating light meals the days before and i will know what to expect somewhat.

made it two days, i'll bump the next one up to 4.

I fasted for two days once, and drank nothing but chocolate milk. I was fasting with my friend and he couldn't go without eating stuff. I was feeling really fucking great, except for the times when I would drink too much chocolate milk and would get sick to my stomach. It really felt great, though.

When he finally completely gave in and ate something (we were both at work, and we worked in a hometown cafe, I washed dishes and he was the cook ), I decided to eat something. I actually regretted eating it afterwards, because it made me really fucking sick.

So if I were you, I'd expect to get sick. :smirk: Its actually incentive to not give in.

Come off your fast with some fresh fruit for a day or so. Then try the stir fry. But if you must, eat tiny amounts every half hour or so and your stomach should be able to handle it.

Good job man. Very few people can even fast for a day.

I think I've caught the fasting fever. It's something I've thought about before and I'd like to try.

Instead of going too big, I'm going to try to eat nothing but a small amount of fruits and veggies each day as well as a small amount of nuts or legumes. Maybe 5 small servings of fruit/veggie each day and 3 small servings of nut/legume. Also going to continue taking my vitamins. Will drink only water and green tea. Goal of 7 days.

Would this even count as a fast, or just not eating a lot for a few days? :P

I would consider a completely raw diet a fast of sorts.(but it isn't really) Maybe try that. Good luck. The type of eating you describe sounds imminently healthy.

"coke :-P"

Why not just try drinking industrial grade solvent?

That's a little beyond my powers.

Day 6 is ending. It was really rough at work today, I really wanted to eat bad. I expect the same tomorrow.  :frown: Then I will have 4 days off and that should help alot.
