I have a juicer. So should I or should I not dilute the juice?
Also, I just thought of something. Would it be ok to ingest mushrooms or lsd at some point during the fast, as I have a trip planned during the time period. What about opiates? I was planning on having my first opiate experience at some point during the week, though that can be avoided, but mushrooms or lsd would be nice. Also marijuana, but I assume that is fine, on occasion, during a fast.

I'm juicing again...I juice everything and anything in the vegetable/fruit isle. Don't eat anything you can't drink.
I don't know what ice does!

I get tons of samples of the green drink mixes. I drink my greens that way usually once or twice a day. That's a cool thing to do when fasting also.

Haha well today is day one and its only 4pm, but so far I'm feeling very good. Yep! Ive been drinking a lot of pure orange juice. And I am going to mix up some of that master cleanse stuff tonight. However, is the cayenne powder that important? Because I dont have any, and if so where do I get it?

It's fairly important. Get some at your grocery store.

Oh really? I didn't realise a grocery store would have it. I will definitely do that. I am now drinking the lemonade without the pepper and it tastes and feels nice, refreshing and rids my hunger. I don't see how I could ever drink a gallon of this a day though, I think I will end up drinking closer to 2 litres. We will see. Either way, I will get that powder tomorow I suppose. Thanks. I had a hunger craving earlier but it completely vanished and hasnt returned for a few hours.

From what I know it increases circulation and cleansing. I don't remember much more. It would increase energy also and maybe decrease appetite.

Red Hot chili peppers [Re: Icelander]

Capsaicin, which makes peppers hot, can cause prostate cancer cells to kill themselves, U.S. and Japanese researchers said on Wednesday.
Capsaicin led 80 percent of human prostate cancer cells growing in mice to commit suicide in a process known as apoptosis, the researchers said.
Prostate cancer tumors in mice fed capsaicin were about one-fifth the size of tumors in untreated mice, they reported in the journal Cancer Research.
"Capsaicin had a profound anti-proliferative effect on human prostate cancer cells in culture," said Dr. Soren Lehmann of the Cedars-Sinai Medical Center and the University of California Los Angeles School of Medicine.
"It also dramatically slowed the development of prostate tumors formed by those human cell lines grown in mouse models."
While it is far easier to cure cancer in mice infected with human tumors than it is in human beings, the findings suggest a possible future treatment. They also may offer a good excuse for men who like spicy food to eat more of it.
Lehmann estimated that the mice ate the human equivalent of 400 milligrams of capsaicin three times a week. That is about the amount found in three to eight fresh habanero peppers, depending on how hot the peppers are.
The capsaicin inhibited the activity of NF-kappa beta, a molecular mechanism that helps lead to apoptosis in many cell types.
Prostate cancer is the most common malignant cancer in U.S. men. It is diagnosed in 232,000 men every year and kills up to 30,000 of them. Worldwide, 221,000 men die every year from prostate cancer.

all i know is that it makes me feel good and that I don't gain weight when i take it...probably got a lot to do with the quality and quantity of the foods. But after drinking a tablespoon of cayenne in water i'm no longer hungry. just did and i have this warm fuzzy feeling.
avoid sardines...i was shocked when i eat a tin and i was peeing this mercurial substance that floated on water and looked like gasoline..
i've lost 56 lbs over the last 3 years, i lost 17 lbs on the juice fast i gained back 3 lbs but since then i lost 4.

Today was the second day nearing a close. I still havn't had much physical hunger, but at a point today I was really contemplating putting htis fast to an end. I feel like the fast is taking my attention of enjoying myself, and I am thinking too much about the food I am not eating.
At the moment I feel like I should wait it out and see how I feel tomorow and the day after, and maybe this craving will go away.
Its not that the cravings are too much, its just that they are ruining the fun I could be having otherwise. But it seems rediculous to give food so much credit.
I will see how I feel tomorow. Is there a point, for those of you with experience, where the desire for food simply left?
It feels as though I am addicted to food and having mental cravings for it that impede on my week. But I guess in a couple of days these cravings should pass as I become more accustomed to not eating.
We will see how it goes.

Well, today I felt basically no hunger throughout the day.
I played tennis during the afternoon and found that my energy was up after playing and my hunger was down.
Later, I must confess, I smoked some marijuana, and enjoyed a great time with my friends. I didn't feel any hunger at any point. I am excited to see how I feel tommorow.
I still feel desire to eat, but less than yesterday. I still have not had any bowel movements, but I guess that's normal.

I ended up fasting for a few days in Amsterdam, due to excessive and much-missed (first time in at least a year) highness.
My friend thought we were just lazy, i assured him it was a spiritual thing.
Made for interesting reflections on life, conditioning, a priori understandings and such. Basically sitting in quiet awe thinking what a scam the conventions of eating are.
Clearly all you need is a darkened hostel bar, ganja and some conscious Dutch hip-hop. Good times.
NB: im guessing this may have been covered in 25 pages on fasting, but no time to read right now and cool to experience on a fledgling scale

At one point I was a soldier in the Infantry (US Army). I spent over 8 months a year in the field. The food that was consumed at that time (early 80s) was "C" Rations. It was canned food, and there was not much of it. If you ate only 3 Cs a day for a time you got really hungry. So, I discovered that most guys in my unit carried Tabasco Sauce with them to put on the food. It killed the hunger response totally for several hours if you used enough, and it also kept away intestinal parasites that can be picked up while living outside for extended periods of time. I came to associate really hot foods with having not feeling hungry and I still eat lots of hot peppers and foods even today. I encouraged it in my children as toddlers as well.

A warrior is tuned to survive, and he survives in the best of all possible fashions." ― Carlos Castaneda

By the way, I have consistently been having dreams about eating on my fast, by accident usually. It is quite funny. Or just dreams about food and stuff. Strange addiction.
