As you know I'm in the supplements business. I've seen tons of these storys and results. Now for cholestrol we use Red Yeast Rice with great results.

Ketosis, which is one of the body's processes for the metabolism of body fat, ... Deliberately induced ketosis through a low-carbohydrate diet has been used ...
but i'm on a high carbohydrate vegetable/fruit juice fast and when I pee on the strip it turns purple
i've also noted that when i go to the gym its like being on steroids.
Since I've been on this vegatable fruit fast I've increased my lifting by 30%

Way to go bro. And you're welcome. Maybe I'll try another in the late summer. I'm curious to see how your test results look.

Think I'll go back on my vegetable/fruit juice diet today. I only consumed abt 500 calories yesterday and I don't like the effects. I was much happier juicing; think i'll juice a whole tray of W/grass for lunch.

I know what you mean. Sometimes I feel disappointed in eating after a fast. There is something so clean and clear in vegetable and fruit juices or just raw food.
But,
you did come off your fast into some pretty heavy food. (sardines) and that can make your digestive system freak a little.

Ok guys I just thought for a long time about this, and decided I want to do a fast. I guess a juice fast is the way to go, but I have a few concerns that maybe some of you could answer.
First of all, how long should I fast for? and should I set a goal or just see how it goes? I see advantages to both. It seems setting a goal of lets say a week, would be good, and if Im liking it and feeling good at day 6 go for another week if possible. I think this is good.
Next, should I tell everyone I know about it, for support, or do you think that will just make it turn into some kind of stupid game, which I dont want. I think I will just bring it up as it comes up.
Also, what exactly should I drink? I guess I still need proper nutrients and stuff, so I need to have a rather specific schedule of drinks and stuff to keep healthy. Any suggestions?
Also, can someone write up a brief description of how I will feel each day, according to their experiences, for motivations sake.
So, here is my basic plan. I am going to start eating light for the next few days, just lighter than usual, salad and rice and such, and then on monday I will start my fast. Goal will be one week, and then I will see how I feel at that point.
Any suggestions? Support please! I guess now that I've said it here I have to do it. I'm excited.

A first fast of a week seems good. Three to ten days is great.
As far as telling people, the support can help. Just try and keep you ego out of it for the most part. But don't fret about it one way or another.
Drinking diluted fruit juice is cool and you can easily go a week on that. The idea is really to put as little as possible in your digestive system so it can rest and cleanse and heal if it needs to. Less is more.
Straight fruit juice can mess with your blood sugar. I don't recommend it. 1/3 juice to 2/3 water is good. If you must have straight juice, make it vegetable juice with maybe a little bit of fruit juice in that. Psyllium fiber is good to take also.
I feel different day to day on each fast I do. Let it be a surprise. But if you are getting headaches you may be cleansing too fast and need more juice and or veg juice.
I think your plan is a good one. Good luck.

How much juice, and what types, should I drink? Can I drink as much as I want? It seems like I just need some guidelines to follow to really be serious about this, or I will just end up drinking too much.
Thank you both of you, by the way.

Lets say, no more than a gallon of diluted juice a day. The Master cleanse formula is excellent. I suggest you go to the beginning page of this thread and you will find useful info. If the master cleanse formula isn't outlined there you can PM me for it.

I don't know abt ice but I only did fresh squeezed. I have 3 juicers but if I was to buy one, I'd opt for the jack lalanne $99 version.
