A sheet from the 70's
    #5675814 - 05/26/06 02:48 AM (17 years, 8 months ago)

this might sound crazy but my friend got 3 hits of LSD from the 70's! He knows this old hippie who has a sheet being kept in storage... the dude said the sheet was loaded with the potent goodness over 20 years ago! My friend was about to pop all three but i told him to start off with one... thats all he needed, because he was tripping pretty nicely. I didn't actually think that a hit that old would have any potency, but i was wrong

Thats whats up your homie is so lucky! im jelous! lol

Ive been meaning to ask. My pops told me I should do Acid anytime b4 i do Shrooms. He told me that its harder to control your trip on shrooms and is a bit more intense. I would try Acid but in the big apple for some reason its hard to find these halucingins(SP?) for some reason... Is a Acid trip similar to a shroom trip for example. I read that people feel as if everything is moving with them when there on shrooms like walls and materials. is acid the same?

mike225, read this thread.

Even though LSD and Mush are hard to compare, I've done my best to do so in that thread.

Thats awesome! Just goes to prove that if stored properly, LSD can last quite some time.

my friend might have screwed me over with the hit.. hes probably going to give it to his ''best friend''... but he sees the hippy every so often, so i told him to get the rest of it... or at least a couple more hits.. i was going to take it tomorrow at a beachhouse...now i gotta take a hit from 2006... ehhh, oh well

Ya I thought it went bad too. I have a friend that found a couple hits in her dad's drawer that he got at a floyd show or something. She ate the whole hit but didn't feel a damn thing she said. Worth a shot still though.

Why not snap some photos for us and those over at Erowid? I know they'd appreciate it a lot, and so would we!

If said LSD was properly stored it could last indefinitely. It seems a stretch that is was but, if taken at face value this particular specimen was.

Thats being said if you tripped on some properly stored 70's blotter you will find nothing but disappointment in 2006 blotter  :frown:.

actually the atmosphere will oxidize the lsd over time. Thats why crystal is kept in glass vials with nitrogen on top. However it will keep for a very long time. I'm happy that the 70's stuff was good enough to stay alive.

It would have to be in complete darkness, airtight and stored in liquid nitrogen to last that long; even if you took your best precautions and deep freezed it, it would disintergrate overtime. 20 years seems a bit unbelievable unless it woss a real potent sheet. :mushroom2:

Thats great but you might find that most modern tabs are around 200mcgs and very few tabs in the 70s were that strong.

are you joking me?
moderns tabs are no where near the quality of acid in the 60s/70s. ever heard of orange sunshine? 1000 mics.
youre lucky today to get 100 mics a hit (unless you know the right people). whoever told you 200 was most likely lying or you live in SF.
