the sex of a soul

many have asked if my Higher Self is a man or a woman.
The truth is that it is both.
The man talks a lot
The woman never talks, but instead expresses herself through feelings.
Have you talked to your Higher Self, and if so, was it a man or a woman? 2 men? 2 women?

I dunno, though i think probably both, a bit of femininity in your higher self can sustain you in times of lonliness and hardship.
I would say the ardour of my soul is masculine, i believe it is in the way it perceives women, but who is to know for real?
I liked the way Philip Pullman imagined the 'higher selves' or souls in His Dark Materials trilogy. The interplay of souls was very prettily pictured for the two young protagonists.

I believe in the eternal nature of our sexual identification. I believe once we are separated from the univeral intelligence and become a particular sex, we keep that sexual identification for eternity. I also believe in resurrection after death and that we will be resurrected into a perfect body of immortal flesh that will have the same sexual identification that we have now.

That's quite the list of beliefs that you have expressed, there.
What has brought you to form such beliefs?
 Peace.

My beliefs come from a mixture of socialization and religious upbringing, life (and death) experiences, prayer and meditation, and study.

I like to study different versions. however, I still prefer the original king james text. I don't think any of the translations that we have today are completely accurate, and I don't trust translations made by men who had or have reason to manipulate and control. I think that is the case with every version and translation that exists today. But in all, it doesn't really matter. I read scripture and then use it in my mediation and prayer and come to my own conclusions.

you are right.
but when I speak to my higher self I hear a male voice. Then the female side sends me images and feelings.
In reality, I know my Higher Self is androgynous. But it often assumes different forms for the benefit of my understanding.
Kind of like how Homer's Higher Self assumes the form of Col. Klink sometimes.

That was fucking hilarious.
"He did?!"
I like the part of that episode where he discovers Aleck Baldwin and Kim Basinger living in Springfield, and their voices tell him not to tell everyone at Moe's about it, and then that old dude shows up and says "Tell the people, Homer. They have a right to know about the celebrity beach house". "Who are you?" "What do you care? I'm telling you what you want to hear!".
 Peace.

I guess I better watch all of the episodes until I find it!

maybe you should make a tarot deck based upon the simpsons (it could even be a classic a couple of thousand years from now!) but go easy on any assumptions of a higher self except in context of homerisms.

I have always sensed a spirit in me that is more feminine than most guys. It's not that I act effeminate. In fact, I am quite masculine in my habits and behavior. But my spiritual self always felt distinctly feminine.

I had a dream once - my second ever lucid dream.
I was in a shower room with Angelina Jolie. Being that I always act like my real self (no ignorance, only action based on true feelings), I was being observant, yet unassuming - basically timid. She was naked and showering and I was trying not to look at her. I made a comment that she had nice shampoo.
So.. she starts talking to me. She said something that was supposed to be funny and I did something that I suppose I still do and often did in the past when I truly cared - I gave her a weak response that was meant to comfort me more than to communicate with her. I find that that happens when I get caught up in my emotions and don't wait for the right timing to say something or simply don't say it with the proper intensity/confidence (I still do get caught up in a woman's beauty, but I can deal with it better now - I use that energy to simply smile because I'm grateful for her beauty). She made a comment to me, "Don't talk like that." Obviously I was putting her in the male's position because, although I feel that it's alright to share you feelings openly, one should remember that there are social guidelines under which you build up a relationship. You can't always get caught up openly, but rather (like I said) channel that energy in a way that promotes a feeling of comfort (smiling, love). Then she made a move on me and I was thinking 'hell yes'. However, that excitedness soon turned into curiosity when I imagined her kissing me. I'm talking about how you would imagine another person in real life when you are making out with them. You can feel them, physically and emotionally so you understand how their body is moving and what they mean by it. I realized that she was moving just like me - just like an agressive (male) version of me. A 3d picture of myself flashed in an instant and I opened my eyes, feeling confused. I asked her what was going on and she didn't reply. So I looked down at myself and pinched my stomach, only to realize that I didn't feel a thing. Cue my only real lucid dream ever.
My point is that I realized how I often acted around women who I had feelings for. I think it really helped me to grasp what I was feeling and how I could change my actions to be that more masculine nature, which I would guess that I saw from my feminine side that simply desires the sexual nature of women without remembering to respect both them and myself. I don't think I would ever get anywhere with women having that type of attitude. I think my masculine side would consider the timing, emotional awareness (as opposed to getting caught up), and moral representation (such as respect and apparent gratefulness) - all of which are fulfilling, both to the woman and to myself. There is no set rules saying a man or a woman has to do these things, but I think that there is possibly that masculine and feminine nature to things and it's plausible to assume that a man will be the man and a woman will be the woman even if they are not necessarily so one-sided.
I'm interested in any discussion, especially considering that fact that many people beleive that nature has a masculine and feminine side to it. I feel like I've delved into both sides of my coin. Depending on different situations, I think it would be prudent to know when to display a certain side - sexual nature being the most important to consider.
P.S. All this being said, I am truly confused about the whole subject. =)
