Like the title of this post says, i am looking for (not a mentor( but a good guide, a person, who i can pm, possibly im, and talk with. IM would be nice cuz if i made a mistake i could instantly ask for advice...
i just want some help through my first time, and im looking to make a nice txt file grow log with my new digital cam and summer break, anyone up for it? just for like 15-30 minutes a day convo...started in like 2 weeks?
looking forward to talking to someone and learning about this art

I answer all pm's but your not gonna need somebody for 15 to 30 min a day. Growing shrooms just isn't that complicated.

What's it PAY? LOL

And Mag , I think 15-30 minutes a day is an understatment . I remember when I started . All the reading and research . If I where to replace all that by just asking someone via PM . It would have taken more then 15 minutes a day , lol . I think you remeber a few from me when I started yourself And I'm sure a lot more then one . I KNEW you liked me , you proposed . And if I can't get this DAMN other thing going , I MIGHT take ya uo on it . Plus its pretty slow comunicating through PM's . By the time you find a certain pic to show something . You can take 10 minutes on one reply , which of course , leads to three more question,LMAO
I , know , I offered a prize in one of the scavenger hunts . When I contacted the winner , he said he'd forgo the prize if I would help him along . Be his Mentor . I agreed and helped him out . Made sure to answer all his PM's in a timely manner , and there were quite a few , I became his personal SEARCH FUNCTION and FAQ , LMAO .
I didn't mind though . I was kinda happy that someone would choose that over a prize . Made me feel good . I really like helping out and seeing peeps master the craft . I think it was a $50 Reptile Ultrasonic Humidifier . One of the really nice ones.
Don't remember who it was . He stopped PM'ing for some reason . If you're reading this , drop me a PM and say high
I has someone ask me again last week and had to refuse . Would have liked to , but as you probably can omagine , I recieve 150-200 PM's a month from peeps asking my opion , or knowledge , on something . You MUSTget even more , because I still PM you for advice , or friendly chat a few times a month .
That's why I couldn't do it . Didn;t have the extra time . I like chatting with and helping everyone . I feel so good when someone I've helped , takes my advice , and improves on it or just does better with it then .

Yeah the pm's pile up. I never counted but I guess it has to be around 100 to 200 a week depending on the season here at the shroomery and a bunch more at some other sites for buds. With the start of the outdoor growing season (buds) I've had to steer away from here to keep up with those guys.
He he he ... I did propose didn't I. I should have done this first

By the way how is that other project going?

You already got the best mentors from the forum repling to your post(I dont mean me by no means) but those before me have helped out olt with thier teks in the faq section and a few pm as well. all I can advise when using the search function make sure to change the month part to years, it really helps on seaching and read alot too, I was reading in here for 2 weeks almost non stop before growing just so I had an idea of what tek to use and have things ready. I agree with HC I spent alot more then 30 mins a day reading and asking questions but it really helps with your understanding of this wonderful hobby. You can pm me too and I will help with the things I know if I dont know then I will try and help you find it. Patience is a very important part to this tytpe of growing. GL
