Finding Plants Locally..

As the weather gets better,( here in Calif. ), My wife and I like to go to all the craft fairs and local farmers' markets that are around. Music, arts and crafts, local artisans, good times. I bring this up 'cause they are a great place to find "special" plants. Last year, I found little peru, bridge, and pedro cuttings for $15/per. Found my mother salvia plant in the way back of the stall, discretely labeled. You have to look, and if you find someone with something interesting, strike up an intelligent conversation. You might be suprised at what they might have on the D/L!! And the food is usually great, too. Peace

Sure enough!! Found a 15" tall, 4" diameter S.P. for $17!! Mine!! They also had a section, kinda in the back of the display, that had a sign...AYAHAUSCA, with about 6-8 different plants: P. Virdis, Cappi, etc. Also bought a 4" long, inside-out Glass pipe for $15!! Can't wait to go to our next outing!! Peace

Virginia beach, virginia has pretty much only passion flower in most nuseries and other parts of va its found in the wild, with datura distributed well about virginia as well. I have a San pedro and two passion flowers, but in most nuseries "Exotic" usually ethnobotanical plants are not found. That festival sounds really cool too, man i wish i could spend some time in your area, im going to ughanda, africa soon; thatd be really cool to come across some iboga root, yet its very unlikely. Yeah, im pretty high right now.....

Update:
The Oyster festival turned out to be 15,000 people in 1 square block..clusterfuck to say the least. Long lines, no place to sit, hell, even stand. We left early. Wasn't gonna stand in line for 1 hour+ to get oysters.
Next up is the huge farmers market held every Sat. Hope to continue adding to my plant/cacti collection, as this market has treated me well in the past. Also always looking for nice glass. Hopefully the guy I bought pipes from last month will be there... He also has some intereting cacti....
Peace
