jesus fucking christ. i've never been so furious in my life. after constructing, mixing and casing a massive double tub of infinite glory, my idiot friend who gave me the spawn forgot to tell me (even after asking him a million times how many B+ he had) that it was B+, koh samui, and brazilian. is my double tub a complete disaster? am i FUBAR? will anything grow or shuld i just trash it now (well dump it outside and pray that has better results). god damnit....never trust anyone else but yourself, ya never know when stupidity will strike. (sigh) so much for bringing the enlightenment of the flesh of the gods on the needy masses

Yeah mitch is right, they are still all P.Cubensis-just different color and sizes in the end, but in the begining it's all the same white stuff.

First off, nobody should know you are growing. That's one thing that some people only learn once it's too late.
Anyway, I agree with Mitch. It'll be fine, just a mycelial orgy that'll produce all kinds of bastard children.

As I understand it, differing strains spawned to the same substrate will compete. So, it will be interesting to see how your grow goes.
Sort of like ants. Ants are ants. But, you don't see several differing kinds, in a single colony, or ant hill. As, they have turf wars & tend to kill each other.

I understand it differently.
In my understanding, there is no competing going on.

i thought they competed as well--how couldn't they? the mycellium is different strains and they won't merge together to make one strain. so if they're separate they'll all be wanting to eat up that nice poopy. regardless i guess theoretically some should grow.
oh ya and i'm not really growing--this is all theoretical
if anything decent grows i'll turn this into a growlog and make the first shroom-orgy tek :P

They won't compete, they'll assimilate. The 'multiple strains in a substrate competing' is another of the myco-myths that keep getting repeated, so they're believed. Strains are like races. If a man from china and a woman from europe conceive a baby, will the genes from africa and europe compete with each other in the womb or share genetic information to create a child?
When various vendor strains are in the same substrate, it is little different from multiple spores from the same sporeprint being in the same substrate, since they're all the same species.
Do a few searches on the word anastomosis for more information. RR

Mixing strains together will merge the mycelium networks together... and you will end up having strains, sub strains, and possibly a hybred develope from doing so.
So...
If you do get fruits you shouldn't print any... since you will have no idea which strain you will have.
Or you can make prints for yourself...but please don't trade any of them. We don't need any mis-marked strains running around the OMC.
My uncle had a dog called...
FUBAR!~

damn some big names on here arguing over this question....what IS the truth!?
think a dose of black light would be enough of a mutagen to merge em together? =P (kidding--though i have been tempted to make a tub of freaks--single strain--this way anyway, and try and clone till i get some stable freaks)

as for anastomosis--did some searches and it looks like i theoretically could get some genuine hybrids. no way of knowing what the cross was i guess since it was 3 instead of 2 strains...
like i said a few weeks from now if anything happens (again, all this is theoretical mushroom role-playing--kinky, i know); if i get some real fusions though be prepared to enjoy the Mushroom Samba strain!

I'd say Tyrone Susuki and the European lady will have a daughter with a dark complexion, hairy pits and squinty eyes! Ooooooo Baby!
