Hey all quick question. Why is it soooo important to pick the mushies all at once or within 24 hour period? as i have a dubtub, no casing layer, those fuckers are all over the place and in many different stages. just wonderin cuz it doesnt make logical sense to me other than contam reasons in which ive had no probs colonized horse poo seems pretty resistant.

You pick the fruits as they're ready. There is no reason to pick them all at once. RR

Yeh really the only thing is people say you should pick them all at once because of contams, but if you dont have a problem with contams by all means pick the mature ones and wait till tomorrow to pick the rest that werent mature when you picked the first ones .

You will want to get all fruits off as soon as possible so the next flush will come sooner so pick the ones that mature first then wait until the majority are ready then pick ALL remaining maturing fruits in other words by no means wait for stragglers that are taking their own sweet merry way.

This is what I thought... RogerRabbit and you have me all confused now.
He says only pick mature fruits and aborts. Period. You say, well, what you said.

The only difference is I don't wait for every last one of them to mature fully that would be a huge waits of time and I'm sure RR doesn't either. I believe what he is saying is don't pick all at once same as I And by fruits i mean maturing fruits not primordia (pins) those stay of course.

Hyphae and I are in total agreement. Mitch improperly deleted hyphae's word 'maturing' when he pasted the quote, thus changing his meaning. You don't pick pins/primordia because they're required for the next flush. RR

p.s. I didn't delete anything at all from his quote.
I just pressed the quote button and didn't touch it. It did that on it's own.
thank you for the information as always.

By deleting his word 'maturing' you changed the meaning, then put the word 'mature' back in when describing my post. Don't try to stir up shit dude. Get a few grows under your belt so you can post from experience along with your own pictures rather than simply parroting what you think you've heard others say. Such is not cool and will lead to people ruining their projets with bad advice. Sorry to be harsh, but people invest a lot of money and time into their projects and don't want to lose them. RR

again, I didn't intentionally do that.
I understand your point, and yes, that does change the meaning.
The quote function is far from perfect obviously.
So, I'll just delete that post because it is inaccurate.
I have a firm understanding now.
Thank you RR, you are always nothing but helpful with the communities best interests at heart.
I am thankful to learn from you.

Sorry that was I so it reflected what I meant sorry RR and Mitch. What I see here is someone (Mitch) that wants to help others to the point of being flawed. We appreciate your helpfulness Mitch but experience is what you should really be focusing on at this point and truely understanding what is actually taking place as we grow. I am very concerned with your teks actually this scares the hell out of me! How many grows do you have under your belt? Some of the advice reflects misinformation for not truely understanding what was read at least thats was my impression. All I'll say is slow down bro let your feet catch up with you.
