Any English Shroomery brethren out there getting a bit excited about it?
Any American brethren give a shit?
Im going to Germany and providing we progress from the first stage it should be sweeeeeeeeeeeeeet! (Arrive Berlin 24th approx)
Football fans, Europeans and Americans (that dont mind being called pussies, as is the custom, so ive been led to believe) come shoot the World Cup Shit, maybe this post can survive...
My prediction: A great time to be had by all, i a) spend a night in jail the get deported or b) bite the kerb for Sieg Heiling at an inappropriate time (ie at all, i'll just have to learn to handle my drink a little better)
Any, many thoughts welcome. It's nearly here.

Cool. I'm surprised the money is too shitty to make it seem less of an option, i'm guessing the teams pay 34 year old European legends 75% of the total roster's wages or something? Id love the chance to play professionally at all, im probs good enough to coach at soccerUSA but that'd be my peak, got probs with vision guttingly.
You taking dual allegiance to the World Cup, if you're ma's a Brit? Or just gonna cheer for the US?
One thing i hope is the USA as a whole doesnt get properly into football, your resources are too awesome, they'd probs eventually end up a bit of a Brazil, just more of an Anglo style if you know what i mean. A worrying thought...

Im excited for the world cup. Last year it really screwed up my sleeping because i would stay up all night even if I'm not doing something so i can watch the games in the morning. I wonder what time they will be on this year. I was hoping to go an europe trip this year and catch some games in germany but it doesn't look like it will be happening.

Well... It'd take you a couple of centuries to get the passion that breeds success i reckon, dont think it'll happen in my life time!
Game Times: well i posted this at 10:45 pm and Germany is about 1 hour ahead of us (only 1 i think, but possibly 2) so take the time it says on the post and you can work it out to an extent... Except that games kick off any time between 1pm and 8pm, so you may be in for some weird ones! Good luck with that

Dude, sorry! By us i meant England. So Germany is 6/7 hours ahead of you (France is one hour ahead of England so Germany, a little further east may be two)

Looks like it, lol. Kudos
Maybe somehow trick your friends into watching it? False offers of shrooms perhaps? Then beat them with a baseball bat until they enjoy it/get an aversion to baseball? Either way i reckon thats a start.

No, you are not alone. I love it. The difference in the quality of play in the World Cup over any other league or tournament is astonishing.

Yeah good call i forgot about the standard - in my general enthusiasm for football. I'm as excited as pre-pubescent girl riding a pony.
The atmosphere is something else, even just in England when you are watching the game as One its the best, mass joy and agony and all that. Watching it in Germany this summer is gonna be the absolute shit. Unless we go out in the group stages. In which case i'll just be wandering around Germany, having arrived too late, starting fights that i will not be able to win and crying.

That's bullshit. We made it to the round of eight and scared the shit out of the eventual champ. Our keepers are always top shelf and Landon Donovan is truly brilliant. And McBride. The US does not suck anymore. Freddy Adu is coming.

I think you mean Rooooooney! He is a bit phenomenal. He is is injured very guttingly, he might be able to play in the second round... I just hope they dont mess him up by rushing him back. In the meantime we have our own Freddy Adu - Theo Walcott, haha he was only selected because the whole nation was massively gutted about Rooney's injury so the coach picked this kid who's never played in the top league (about 21 games in the next league down) just to get the buzz (highly rated but totally inexperienced, one of the most expensive 16 year old's in history, Arsenal paid 12million for him.) Now he's 17.
My favourite team to watch at the moment (exc. England...) are Czech Republic, their game in Euro 2004 against Holland was incredible 4-3 i think the final score) Czech always a good 'dark horse'.
I like USA, i think they are improving from when i remember seeing them.
