Why are you vegetarians? Humans were meant to eat meat.Do you feel bad for the cows because they have a shitty life? why dont you just switch to organic meat.Im just curious, not trying to start a rant

I'm straight up carnivore but go google some slaughterhouse videos.
humans dying is okay, but kicking and stabbing a lamb to death is sick.

I don't care if you're vegetarian, but man, vegetarians who eat shit like "tofurkey" can really just go to hell. They're just self-denying meat-eaters.

What do you mean by "humans were meant to eat meat?"
The fact that we can implies we were designed or created to do so?

Vegetarians usually don't get a lot of cancers and suffer from fewer cardiovascular problems. That's not to disagree with you, I just thought I'd throw that out. It's okay to eat meat, I think, it's just that some eat too much of it.

The only meat that is truly unhealthy is pig.
Pigs digest what they eat fast and its quickly turned into body weight ( fat, muscle or just flesh)
Point is: pigs OFTEN eat their own feces and anything else they can find.
Very toxic animals. Sushi on the other hand.....

So, who designed our teeth?
Of course I'm being a little flamey here, but I hope you realize that all of this line of reasoning makes use of vague and predecided evidence.
I could just as well argue that punching people is a morally accepted behavior because my hands make really good fists, obviously they were designed to punch people in the head.

I don't know but maybe meat promotes aggressive behavior, look at the animals who are carnivores and the ones herbivores, herbivores are non aggressive, peaceful, while T Rex will shred you to pieces

I'm a vegetarian becuase I don't want my dollars to support the slaughterhouses. I don't want toplay a part in those horrible places, no matter how insignificant.
I do agree with OMR that tofurkey and that whole idea of fake meat is kind of obsurd and definitely gross. If you're gonna be a vegetarian, learn to love vegetables
I've been a vegetarian for a few years now, ever since I saw this:

Vegetables are conscious as well...
Is harvesting considered slaughtering too?
I'm just fucking around up above there, I really don't give a shit. I limit my intake of red meat but eat a lot of chicken and turkey. If you don't want to eat meat, fucking great, don't, more for me, but DO NOT look at me in disgust if I salivate at the sight of a nice steak. I don't care how it got to my plate. If I was meant to know then I would.

I used to be a vegetarian, but I started to sort of reorganize my values, and quit.
the fact that humans may be "supposed" to eat meat doesnt justify the thousands of brutal deaths in giant slaughterhouses.
Many people would find it tough to eat meat after watching some of the footage from slaughterhouses, it really is disgusting.

Ok, I'm no vegetarian, but I have to say that it's stupid to say that one diet or another is more "natural." Humans are omnivores, otherwise known as opportunistic eaters. This means we can subsist on many different types of foods.
I also have to say that although it's not enough to keep me from eating meat, the conditions on factory farms are atrocious, and I can understand someone being vegetarian just on those grounds.

but we are what we eat, if we treat animals so inhumanly, and we ingest this food pumped with hormones that comes from this horrid environment, maybe this is why we are so savage and we start wars,
its like with bud, you don't want some bulk grower dousing our shit with pesticides because its more profitable, and in turn we get some stress sack, which then reverts to cranky ass potheads, no you want to be ire

I've been to many slaughterhouses, as I went there to collect samples for microbiological study. I never once saw inhumane treatment of animals, nor did I see any suffering at the time of slaughter. And I went to a LOT of slaughterhouses. PETA finds these hole in the wall slaughterhouses and uses them for their political gain so they can buy their big mansions and what not.

There are other sources of protein besides meat, such as legumes, or certain mushroom species. However, it is true that vegetarians usually have more trouble getting enough protein than meat eaters. On the other hand, people who eat lots of meat tend to be deficient in certain vitamins found in fruits and vegetables.

why isn't there a video where things are running appropriately and which is more acceptable, where fat, happy, plump pigs are running in green pastures, then loaded up to the slaughter where they go to a sanitized building , and a conveyor or something brings the pigs in, and a razor sharp blade comes down and decapitates them cleanly and surgically without the pig knowing what hit em. That way its clean and painless.

Actually if you do that they will bleed ALL over themselve and the mean wont be good. Might be painless but not clean.

Seriously though, was anyone offended other than snaggle?

actually, if you compare the teeth and intestinal system of a human with those of a true carnivore, you will find serious differences. evidence tends to suggest that while we can be omivorous, our system was designed to be herbavore.
meat has no inate nutritional value, besides protien and iron, which can be aquired from many other sources. meat does not contain the other necessary nutritional elements like complex carbs, anti-oxidants, fiber, omega 3 (except some fish).
anyway the health problems today are not so much from the meat (i'll leave out the less substantiated arguments against meat)but from the way it is raised (filled with Bovine Growth Harmone and other toxins, not to mention 'rendered feed') the way it is slaughtered and packaged (forget the humanitarian aspect--meat packing today is incredibly un sanitary) to the way it is cooked (usually in a manner which highlights the negative aspects like bad fat) to over-consumption (a by-product of the body breaking meat down into glucouse is nitrogen...people who eat too much meat constantly have a level of nitrogen posioning in their blood thus kidney/liver disease/cancer etc etc).
probably the best bet is to eat organic/free range meat, and to learn healthy cooking procedures.
btw, i'm not vegetarian
