Trying out bags

My friend is a PF Teker and he thinks cakes are a hassle. The Bulk men have all the fun.
Here is what he wants to do.
He wants to get some autoclave bags that are PRESEALABLE with both a filter patch and a self healing injector port. This seems like it would be the way to go. Have they worked for anyone, and where is the best place to buy them?
He then wants to use the quantity of brown rice flower and vermiculite that he already has. He was thinking of mixing up 4 pints of substrate on the PF tek formula, or enough for 8 cakes. He will put them in the bag, seal the bag, and then PC it.
Is this the way to go? What is the best tek that can mirror what I am trying to do? Any fatal flaws? Do these bags work?

I think its a better deal to use the ones without the self healing injection site. They are much cheaper and you are going to throw away the bag after 1 use. just use some hot glue or a piece of tape to seal it.

Do the presealable bags work well? Is 4 pints a good amount of substrate?

if you're gonna move to bags, go to grain as well. sporeworks has those presealable bags for cheap, but I haven't tried them.

They work well, I use about 3 heaping quart jars of substrate per bag.

If this works I will give up those damn jars forever. Why don't we have more teks on bags?

I was thinking of making substrate bags out of oven roasting bags. All you would need to do is create a breathable patch using some medical supplys and decent glue. And you could always make a kind of self-healing patch by just puting a plaster on the side of the bag with a small drop 9% peroxide soaked in. I bring this up because i stumbled across a packet of them and they look a great size for the job. Im just wondering wether glue would withstand sterilization, apart from that i think its a relatively good idea.
