Telepathy through pictures.

If you were to look through an online directory of people.... randomly browsing....
and you had psychic abilities.
Could you look at the person's picture and sense how they are feeling, if there is any pressing matter on their minds.... so that you could send them a positive message to lift their spirits or give them advice?
The next question, can anyone here do this? The answer must only be yes if you really can.
I'd like to.
I've tried staring at a few pics now and then til I start seeing weird things and feel some merging sensations. I've merged minds with people remotely before (kind of) but I don't know how I did it. It involves third eye OR heart chakra connection.

Om Namah Shivaya, I tell you What!

yea. i can tell anything about a person or a plant or a rock just by looking at it. sometimes a picture is a little more hard to do. sometimes i'll spend a half hour staring at some strangers picture, learning from them.
this sort of telepathy works by seeking answers to questions that arise in your mind. when you have the system down, no question takes more than 7 minutes to answer.
it takes practice to learn to differentiate between your own imagination, and true signals. and that is really the whole key to telepathy, learning to differentiate between your own inner dialogue, and the signals that are coming from outside.
you can send signals to non-psychics, and sometimes they subconsciously receive them, but rarely. just talk to them outloud. telepathy isn't for chatting away about this and that, it's about communicating things which plain words don't readily facilitate.

Agreed.
can you give an example of what you mean by asking questions to a picture? Like........ how are you feeling right now? Is that what you mean?

I suppose everyone can with time.

awesome. telepathy is bullshit. hm. i think it's a combination of the photographer and the person being photographed. normally if they're just party pictures i see, "we be's chillin'." and if not then i see, "god damn, i am a strange person who doesn't know what the fuck is goig on and am covering up my sufferings with an awkward human creation."all i got

do you think it's bad karma to try this?
I tried it with a girl and at the end of it I dedicated all the merits (Buddhist practice) of anything I felt, thought, learned (and I did feel a lot of chi in different chakras) back to her.... and I dedicated it to her so that she may have a happy life and find liberation and said a brief positive thing out loud to her.
There was definitely something. Some merging.
But I don't want to be intrusive nor do I want to be an energy vampire if people can do such things.
Think it's bad karma? Good because of the dedication of merit? I verbally sent ALL energy felt during the entire process back to her. Neutral?
I mean I would like to be able to cultivate these "abilities" but with the caveat of being able to turn them on or off.... i.e. just dwell in the upper chakras then go back to the grounded ones after.
and I would like to because I think it would help me meet neat people and send them some inspiration.
What I got from the reading is that she seemed a bit empty in the sense of mundane existence but then toward the end some happy and positive emotions emptied up.
She seemed primarily unopen sexually and most prone to the upper chakras in relatoin to thought, compassion, altruism, service. But some of that info was also deduced from her profile.
I got strong sensations in the root/sacral and navel. Nothing really in the heart. Some in the throat.

a lo of projection instead of finding what she is on about. buddhism may not relate need to intuit what relates - that's where empathy starts

mmm no buddhism doesn't relate at all. they would say this is silly and a waste of time. get enlightened first.
i agree fundamentally.
what i meant is that ..... sending merit is what I learned from Buddhism. You can dedicate merits of meditations or good deeds to various people or to all sentient beings. So I sent all the merit of everything I felt (various chi sensations) to her, at least intended it to her.
And I'm wondering what the karmic manifestations of trying something like this are? If I had gotten bad vibes I would have stopped but it's a bit different than looking into someone in person.

Wrong forum, no?
Is telepathy not considered a paranormal ability?

Yeah, do we have a paranormal forum?
I wanted to discuss the philosphical implications of what this would be.

I see a lot of repackaging of buddhism and this changes the apparent content. the core of buddhism is valuable while the fringes are as superstitious as any religion.
the core has no religious function. you can use the core for enlightenment, but that is quite a different issue from relationships; different from empathy.
empathy, however, not concepts and religion, is a way of becoming aware, and awareness is the major component in enlightenment. (so the connection appears again but from the other side.)
i.e. put you and the concepts away. then inhale the other, not project self out ward upon the other. attune by being empty and resonant.
it is a light hearted thing not serious at all. give up easily and frequently and return and recover from error and continue your business.
if anything happens, just be aware of it - no big deal.

inhale the other? I know what you mean completely.
Or I think I do. The one time I had remarkable dream travel (and unintentional) I became the other person until I got up in the dream to greet him.

I think all u need is a connection point. which would be the picture. from then on you could just think about them and that is now your medium.
It's like talking is the medium we are used to but when broken down its just energy being sent to a reciever, same as thought.

talking is a sequenced communication - good for messages, with details and arrangements empathy is all at once or nothing and not too specific, unless it is something specifically evident having made a connection to the other being. i.e. salient, obvious, or unavoidable. what whales do with their holographic sonar could be that, fascilitated body language at a distance.
