Thing is, no hunter is perfect, and I don't doubt they feel bad about it, if they did( and I'm not saying they did) 'rape' a patch. Now, it wonders to us how one can let a divine status rot. Agreed, its not just a problem where you guys are. You can never trust people with patches, they will return the next day just to take all the little premies you left there the day you showed them and thats all she wrote. I have learned to enjoy hunting alone, i find myself in thought alot while hunting and its nice to just relax and enjoy the day. Good luck shroomy and i know you will find plenty more patches just as good to keep safe now that you know what habitat they like so much.

Ill find patches and ill show people, Im not really to possessive over a particular patch, You show anyone a patch and chances are they are gonna go back. Its the nature of the beast, If you dont want someone to revisit your patch then its best to simply not show it.
Of course picking here in Atlanta, Is exceptionally hot in suburban areas it has gotten ridiculous lately.

First of all we didn't rape his land, which isn't his land. We didn't leave garbage anywhere, and we were conscious not to leave trails even though the area was already well trampled through.
I didn't think this would be a big deal at all, after the good time we all had last week.
We came back with about as many mushrooms as the day Dan, Eris, and I went out, which isn't that much.
I am pretty annoyed at the negative response this is getting. We were out having a good time, enjoying the nice weather, and none of you were there... You have no idea the situation Dan is talking about, unless you actually know the area.
I was not acting in disrespect.

I think the point Dan was trying to make to you guys is that he has put in alot of time to find these places which he was nice enough to share with you guys and you abused that. Whether or not its his land or patches or not he trusted you guys to respect it and you did a poor job at that. If you didnt think it was such a big deal to come back why didnt you give Dan a call to let him know? That would be the respectful thing to do since you would not have a clue about where to go if it wasnt for him. Also you say you were conscious to not leave trails or bring attention to yourselves but parking a van with out of state plates on the side of the road and going through breaking logs doesnt really sound like you were beng to cautious. I just wanted to put my 2 cents in because its happened to me.

No hard feelings Jim.
It's just that after we were stopped by that state trooper at that spot, I've been really paranoid about being seen there. Of course I'm a very careful person. I almost drove back out to Piatt Park that night to see if you guys made it back OK. I'm glad you, shroomism, and Ian had a good time, and I'm glad you didn't get into any trouble. I see that cop on that stretch of road all the time. It's a good place for him to run a speed trap, because the road goes from two-lane to four-lane there, and people speed up to 65 when the limit is still 55. I'm sure he remembers us. There aren't too many cars with New York plates that travel that road.
I was under the impression that you all would be hunting in the State Forest location, and I was disappointed when I didn't see you there. It's all good man; just be careful. And be careful eating all those shrooms. You can make yourself crazy by eating them too often.

I hear it starts with reviving 5 year old threads, then gradually makes its way into your logic and reasoning skills.
You will build up an immunity if you do them alot, and many people find that taking them so often makes them loose their magic. If you feel like your going crazy - just stop taking them. There's no evidence to say they make people crazy - although it can affect people who are pre disposed to depression etc.

That doesn't sound too bad. I have known people that took them way more often than that and are fine. I wouldn't worry about it if I were you. If you get to a point where you feel that you need a break, then just quit doing them for a while.

I was eating them about three times a week back in 1998 and I made myself crazy, and sick. I ended up dropping out of school, hooked up with a psycho chick, devastating her long term boy friend who was my pot and acid dealer, and I started stockpiling for the end of civilization due to Y2K.
I have recovered mostly I think, but I don't think you ever fully recover from something like that. Heavy use of psychedelics changes you for ever, and not always in good ways.

There are lots of variables to consider - general state of mind, mental health, unique brain chemistry, type of psychedelic drug used, amount used, etc. Some of which can vary greatly between different individuals. Based on the tons of information and testimonials that I've read here, I think that psychedelics effect certain people differently than others.
I have used them much more frequently than a couple times a week in the past. A lot of times it was in low doses. Mostly just mushrooms or some kind of natural hallucinogen. No frequent LSD use or weed use during that time. I prefer low doses of mushrooms, enough to catch a mellow buzz. I think the mind blowing experiences are best left only for special occasions.
In all, I think years of smoking weed daily when younger did the most damage to me. It gave me social anxiety and some other problems with long term use. One of the reasons I don't touch it at all today. I can't even get an enjoyable experience anymore even if I did.

Psilocybian mushrooms are some powerful creatures.
One summer, I went one too many Copelandia mushrooms over the rainbow. Which was quite a disturbance I seem alright now
And from eating the mushroom Psilocybe weilii, those experiences were life changing for me.
But seeing this whole new network of Blue Foot collectors posting their findings has been an amazing treat. Who would have guessed that Ohio was such a great place for Shroom hunting.
