Possible P. Caerulipes

I think that I found some Active P. Caer. but found them already dried and sriveled. The caps for most of them are whitish and the stems are almost all bluish. I found them amoung some tall weeds where my city dumps all of its grass clippings and mulch from trees. There were dozens of dried out ones and I picked a few. I donnot have a digital camera and cannot take any pictures. Can anyone help me with this? Thanks
This was only my third hunt and I think i was very lucky.

Sorry but without pictures and without spore print/better description, your not going to get an accurate ID
I wouldn't eat them from just that info.
The shriveled/dried Cae's ive seen all turn a darker brown.

I just re-examined them, the more shriveled up ones did turn dark, even partially black on the very top of the cap. also the gills are a Dark Brown color. Some of my caps have blue on them and are sort of wavy, which should seem to indicate caerulipes. one of the young fresh ones has a veil over the gills, which means caerulipses?? i cannot get a spore print since most of these are dried. Any help will be greatly appreciated, since i was hoping to try some later tonight.

My advice is that if they are dried, it's not a good idea to consume them. It could be something else, which means you would be risking poisoning.
Even experts have trouble identifying dried mushrooms. Find some fresh specimens.

I found these dried P.caerulipes.

And these were starting to dry.

Were they growing in the flood plane of a river or stream? Do your mushrooms look like these?
There is rain coming in the next couple of days. I would check that spot a few days after it rains to see if fresh ones pop up. As the others have mentioned, it is dangerous to eat dried shrooms because they cannot be identified, but if they really are blue, like in the photos above and not imaginary blue, then you may have found a good spot to hunt after it rains.

These are very, very blue, not imaginary at all. This huge wood/grass pile is about 100 feet from a decent size stream. I went back to look for more mushrooms and found a large variety including an Amanita and many pan. subbs. I feel very luck to have found two active species in one area. I am going to try to dried one because I am 100% sure they are caerulipes. They have attched, brown gills and are very blue. THanks! I will have updates on these location when it rains next.

You are literally risking your life and for what? How are you 100% sure. Are you an expert at IDing mushrooms? Do you know how many mushrooms have attached brown gills? When mushrooms dry they can look like anything, I would not trust a color change on a dried mushroom.
Good luck, you're gonna need it. Might want to go ahead and line up a liver transplant now.

I'm glad you're having a good time. Hope I didn't bum you out. Just so many peeps making bad IDs, can't really give anyone the benefit of the doubt.
Have fun

I am new to the Shroomery, but i have expirience hunting. I am hardcore tripping now. 311 is the best (transistor had to be written while they were tripping, all the songs seems to talk about it) im just sitting here laughing all by myself. this is a good trip!
