I already play the guitar but i want to branch out and learn the keyboard. A keyboard/piano can sound amazing when it is played well.
Does anyone have any tips on getting started?Good songs to learn etc. I can't really read music very well , i can read something with basic rhythms though.

It really helps to get a teacher if you are just starting out. One thing I can recommend though is to learn all your major, minor, and 7th chords. That way, you can look up tabs or chord diagrams of songs online and learn them without having to worry about buying sheet music!

I think the easiest way to learn is to play "Fake".
You cannot play keys just by knowing M, m, and 7th and be good or even bearable.
The key to playing fake is knowing all of the chords, and being able to do root conversions quickly in your head, then you just kind of "jiggle" the chords in a semi-melodic way while holding the root or faux/octave bass line with the left hand.
Often, when given some music, or trying to learn from music books, they will have all the notes for the readers, but also have the fake progression below the staff.
For example, you might see Cmaj7 with a little 6 after it which means it is a first inversion, which means you add the 6th. a tiny 64 means second inversion which means the root of the chord begins on G.
First inversion of Cmaj7: EGBC second inversion of Cmaj7: GBCE
here is a good internet practice site for scales and chords.

I think I'm getting the hang of it. I come up with a little thing i like with my left hand playing chords and my right doing a little melody. It's allot easier to see the chords layed out on the keyboard than it is on the guitar. I'm not really sure what to do now though,i can't seem to find any decent websites with easy sheet music that isn't cheesy children's tunes.

If you download PowerTab or Guitar Pro you can download piano music that show up as both sheet music and guitar tabs. PowerTab is a free program and Guitar Pro can be free if you know the right websites. You can use www.ultimate-guitar.com to download some of your favorite songs in both formats.
