I have heard a lot of great things about LSD, but was wondering how common flashbacks are for those who have used the drug?
How severe were the flashbacks that you have had as a result of LSD?

The only 'full-blown' flashback I've ever had was a result of MDMA - possibly a hippyflip (I really cant recall the drugs I was on that night).
A few months before I had done MDMA, and possibly mushrooms - had an amazing night, probably one of my most memoriable of the summer.
Few months later, I was walking to a friends place with my IPOD playing, and I heard a song that I had heard at the above night. For a brief moment, I was transported back to the club - I could feel the music (at club-volume), I could see the people, I looked at my hands and saw the lights from the clubs lighting rig reflect off my hands. I felt euphoric, happy -- so damn good, it felt like I was peaking on MDMA again.
This lasted for maybe like, 3 seconds tops - then I was back to reality. For the next few hours however, it felt like I was on a miniroll.
That is the first and only 'flashback' I have had. And must say - I bloody enjoyed it, however I Could see how it could be a problem if I was say, driving a car at the time.
Sure, now and then I may get breathing walls / slight trailers / etc even when 100% sober - they are not quite the same as a flashback. From mushrooms or LSD alone, cant say I have ever had a 100% full blown flashback. Maybe some subtle visuals/breathers/etc - but nothing major.

When how why do you experience them.
I see visuals all the time(all day every day). when I smoke pot its a guaranteed flashback of sorts(a fat 1 hour long trip).
Thats 170 trips for ya. I would expect nothing less, and I knew that after 20 or so trips.
So you relive your trips.
Well, thats quite common to get to that state on purpose or without even meaning to.

I have done lsd quite a few times and I have only expierienced one flashback, and it was after the first time.
Sitting on my buddys floor, tripping out and staring at this cat toy. I come back to his house a few weeks later and see that cat toy and I got like a 15 second mini-trip, and then it was over. I havent had anything closely related to that since then.

Dont see why not, technically anything can cause a flashback - drugs or no drugs.

Yea thats what I thought too. I think it would be kinda intresting to get a flashback atleast once, It's one thing to know that it can happen and say that it can but to experience it... Also I have done LSD but only about 5 times so I doubt I'll get a flashback from that but It seems like I've done mushrooms alot, more than I can count.
Off topic but My friend was suppose to try to get my some LSD this weekend that would be some great news if it happened. I'm having such a hard time trying to get it.

I have never had a "real" flashback, but I certianly have had instances that remind me of tripping... or something I just see a little different. More like something I probably wouldn't have notice if I hadn't tripped before. For me they can happen in all states of mind, but I notice them more when say I'm tired or have had something to drink... maybe see or feel something my mind would had normally ignored, but instead I get the feeling "thats trippy".
After using LSD 1-4 times a month for 6 months (in very heavy doses)... and not having used it in the last 3 months, I think I have subjected my self to enough to produce any flashbacks if I were going to get them.
... and remember next time you come across some good L.. get as much of it as you can. 100 hits of very potent liquid wont last that long between you and your friends if you are not conserving.

Any memory, whether it be tripping or not, can reoccur in the brain... there's nothing bad about that

we all have 'aha' moments, moments of poetic vision, or just plain awe at nature/experience (they get fewer and fewer as we get older and more tied into the hive system). psychadelics cleasne the doors of perception, thus reminding us of thse moments, so that we may notice them in the future. i think it is an error to call these moments of hightened awareness flashbacks.

not sure if it could be classified as a flashback as i didnt experience visuals but was reminescing about my first trip and began to remember a bunch of shit that had slipped from my memory... i got the LSD feeling in my spine and my hands and feet began to get that effect and i was feeling quite unsettled.... may have just been placebo thinking O.o
