Here are my main interests in music: Tool, Pink Floyd, any classical music basically, Metallica, Mudvayne...
Basically I am looking for some music along the lines of Pink Floyd.
PS: not a huge Shpongle fan. So please don't recommend them

Porcupine Tree, especially their earlier work.
Checkout the albums Voyage 34, The Sky Moves Sideways, Up the Downstair, and Lightbulb Sun. They make mainly hardrock now though, which is still excellent.

Except for the Radiohead, thanks for the recommendation, but I have all their albums...i love them! I should have put them on my master list i suppose thanks anyhow

for more modern bands i'd agree with both radiohead and the mars volta, both very different to eachother but both capturing different elements of that psychedelic feel.
also some of the older groups to check if you dont already know: king crimson, can, ash ra tempel

Yea, i have all PT's work and more from Steve Wilson, and Ive never heard of Dead Can Dance.
Dead can dance is a band thoug hand they have a self titled album.
Oh, and i recommend Porcupine Tree's Newer albums, especially if you like metal like tool.
Download In Absentia and Deadwing, their 2 latest.
Then for a shift in mood and style, download Stupid Dream and Lightbulb Sun.
From their earlier work, Id recommend Signify them most.

Hmm, so is this song by Porcupine Tree or not? Regardless, if you search on limewire for porcupine tree you might find the song "dead can dance" by them.

I did a discogs search, a google search, and went to their website, no song has that title....limewire sucks for music in my opinion, use Soulseek...

Where you talking about Arsis here? Im truly lost on what your trying to say. As far as I know there is no release by Arsis with that title...
But if you cant find the Arsis album let me know I can send it to you through AIM or if you get soulseek you can download it from me there.

heavyness: dolorian, evoken, shape of despair, xeper.. doom/funeral doom metal. its much slower than typical metal. if you like opeth you may enjoy these.
