Help! Cakes in Fruiting Chamber

I'm a newbie and trying mycology for the first time. I tried to follow the Simple Cubensis Growing Techniques. I misread a part "Spread the cakes out as much as possible so that the mushrooms have room to grow" and when placing my cakes in the fruiting chamber I broke up the cakes with a sterilized fork...Ooops! The following pictures show what it looks like. Do I need to abandone this batch or can I still save it?

Click the link to the Cultivation FAQ right above your first post Magic. Then scroll down to 'casing' and have a read. Your substrate isn't screwed up. I recommend a pasteurized peat/verm casing buffered with hydrated lime and gypsum. RR

Hey Bro, thanks for the good news!! The picture shows the top and of course I have about a 2" layer of vermiculite below the 1 1/2 layer of substrate seperated by aluminum foil with holes poked through to allow the moisture to seep up. Do I add some more vermiculite to the top?
