upside down shrooms-need quick answer!

i got all my pins on the bottom of the cake-i flipped the cake so now the verm layer is on top-which side should be up?
so now that i have flipped my cakes some of my most mature pins are growing upside down-will they straitin towards the light?

I flip my cakes after every two flushes. I first look to see which side is dryer and needs to be hydrated by sitting face down on the wet vermiculite on a plate. Now as for your question, have a lamp or light far enough away from the cake's terrarium so that it does not evaporate water from the heat, and the pins will grow towards the light. Don't worry about a top or bottom. The cake should be rotated from time to time as one end stops flushing. I often flip my cake to find many pins were forming and were either halted in growth from the wet vermiculite, or they just aborted all together.
