Inqubator.. need help so0n..

Can i just submerge a fish tank heater in water and place the jars in the water also?? and if not do i have to make a seal between the heater and the jar with water inside?

You c a n submerge the fish tank heater and place the jars in the water also, but, in that way, : a)The water will evaporate pretty fast,giving you an extra thing to care about, b)most of the heat will get lost very fast,making the heater to work continuesly ,spending alot of energy and not providing the heat that it should...and ,C)the most important is that the temp is going to be quite high next to the heated, and less away from it.......total ambient temp.control will be harder to do.......
If you cant find two boxes of the same size to make the incubator, you can always try the lamp-tek which uses lamps over the aluminium foiled PF jars,in order to provide the heat needed...be carefull , not to over-heat the jars.....its not so difficult as you may think it is......***GOOD LUCK***
