Could I get an ID please?

Hello all,

I found this little guy growing at the base of a half-dead rosemary plant. I've never seen a mushroom like this anywhere around here, and I'm wondering exactly what it is.

The color of both the cap and stem is a pastel yellow. The stem appears to be a little bit brighter than the cap.

The cap is an egg shape, and has a small opening at the bottom next to the stem. It measures approx. 1" tall and about 3/4" in diameter. It has small brown and white specks on it.

The stem is about 2-3" long, and feels firm and hollow to the touch.

If the information helps, I live in southern Mississippi.

Here's a pic:

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Hello there, welcome to the shroomery.

Your specimen appears to be Leucocoprinus birnbaumii, the common yellow house plant mushroom. It is not active or of any edible value.
