Beginning of mycelium growth or contam? **UPDATE**

I'm not sure. These were inoculated 6 days ago, so I'm not sure if this much growth is consistant with the usuall times for mycelium growth. WBS (soaked 20 hours, not simmered), incubuated at 80-84° F.

Your help is greatly appreciated.

Here's a few pics from different jars knocked up with the same syringe:

I dunno... it doesn't look right to me.

You'll need something besides a camera phone to take pictures. I can't tell what that is. RR

They're not green at all, that's just the shitty cam. See above.

Ok. Here's some (hopefully) better pictures. Now that I can see them in full flash, I'm pretty sure it isn't mycelium, almost positive actually. Let me know what you think:

Oh, and all 10 jars showing this type of growth are from the same syringe. I knocked up 10 other jars with a separate syringe, and they're showing nothing so far. Oh, and I know half pint WBS jars are pretty pointless; I was just trying my hand with what I had before jumping into quarts.

In your eye is the growth more brownish or white? Because it looks brown from what I see

If you're looking at the top of the middle and left jars, that's just the seeds themselves, covered with a white fuzz. The growth along the bottoms is white, but it definitely doesn't look like it's growing the way mycelium does (I've only done BRF before, so I'm not sure, but I'm thinking it should be much more rhizomorphic).

And I should have some macro shots of the growth shortly.

Ah, my battery died so I couldn't get any real macro shots, but here's some pretty good close ups of what's going on the jars:

Ditto there man. Youll find that colonizing grain and poo is NOT snow white all the time. it can look yellow or brownish. Youll learn with enough failure but those should serve you well

Well thanks a ton for the quick replies, guys. I guess I was worried about nothing (I tend to jump to negative conclusions pretty quickly, lol). Judging by the pictures, do you think they're ready for their first shake?

And one more last update for the night, which might shed some light.
I shook the jars, and, well, when I did, there was a bunch of "dust" in the air above the WBS. Like, a fog (mold/contam spores?). I dunno, but it was definitely there, and there are tiny white specks stuck to the side of the glass above the WBS. I am confused as hell... Anyone?
edit: my grain seems pretty dry, so maybe that has something to do with it?

Man that does not sound good. I have never seen dust floating around in my jars after a shake or anything. It should be moist enough in there for there to not be any dust. Even mold spores should be sticking to the Moist grain. Chill out though. Look at my first grow and not I am on my 7th PC run of failed jars trouble shooting my techniques. sometimes you just have to fail a lot before you get a success or can figure out what is going wrong. if its just stuff stuck to the glass it could be overcooked grain or something.

Here's some new pics. These jars are seperate from my others because something isn't right. I have no idea what this is (bacterial, maybe?), so if you have any ideas, let me know.
Pic 1 is before shaking (you can see little bits of white on the glass above the grain), and pics 2 and 3 show the "cloud" above the grain I was talking about that occured after shaking.

Woah.... I don't want to suggest you throw out possibly healthy jars, but grey DUST??? Ugh, that does not sound right at all, and seems to me like perhaps you should be very careful around those, and when you decide to empty the containers, make sure it's outside! You do not want that stuff floating around you or your grow area,

Since no one else has said it...I will.
That looks like a nasty bacterial infection, especially in the second set of pics (right hand jar). That brown funk in the upper part is not good. The cloud after shaking is not good either.
