Casing rocked with green mold. How do I prevent this in the future

So I started with the PF cakes. Got half way through those and realized how simple yet inefficient they were and quickly moved to WBS cased with 50/50+. Did them in aluminum pans and they worked great. Just after the 3rd flush and just before the 4th each of them got mildly hit with green mold. I cut out a large section around these pieces and threw them away and then put casing mix in the holes. They had a weak flush 4 and started pinning for flush 5 and got hit with green mold again so I threw them away.
Around the first time I got hit with green mold I started my second batch of casings. I decided to do them end to end in the FC monotub style. This batch was made again from WBS and 50/50+. However the WBS was spawned via G2G from the first batch of grain that I shot up and used most of to case in the aforementioned aluminum pans.
I again hit the closet I used with Oust and cleaned everything, took a shower, put on fresh cloths and then closed the closet door and made the casing. I decided that gloves weren't necessary and just poured the WBS onto a thin layer of mildly damp perlite and smoothed it out by hand and then added the casing mix the same way. I put back into incubation conditions for about 48 hours and the pulled it out and exposed it to light, fresh air, and a lower temperature.
This time after about 4 days I noticed a small outcropping of green mold. I cut it out as before and hoped for the best. Two days later it was everywhere. After throwing out the casing I realized the green mold was all throughout the casing.
So my question is does anyone see anything I did wrong and how should I prevent this next time?
Some theories I have are that it could have happened during the G2G, however this was done in a clean glove box and when the jars were open everything looked and smelled as it did the first time I had the successful run. Next theory is my hands. I saw in a post recently that someone touched a petri plate with "clean" "antibacterial soap" washed hands and contaminates hit everywhere. So I am wondering if next time I should use gloves cleaned with iso. Next I thought it might just be the closet that I did it in since this is where the initial contaminated casing were kept plus it is the closet I keep my cloths in so they could very well have held those evil little spores.
Basically just looking for pointers as round 3 comes due.
Additionally in a semi-related issue I am thinking of moving over to horse poo as substrate and using the grain for spawn instead of substrate. I read somewhere that if it is pasteurized then it is more resistant to contaminates winning out so that is why you can assemble casings in the open. Any truth to this?
Thanks in advance for any help and I apologize for this saga of a post, just figured the more info I gave the better help I could get.

If you have green mold, you must toss it all and super clean everything.
I only encounter the green in which I have inadequate FAE. never had it in a greenhouse thank god, but my tubs get it sometimes. Increase your FAE and keep it clean and you should be okay.
remember, that mold puked spores everywhere, so you have to kill them and clean, clean.
Use alcohol on all smooth surfaces and oust for the air.

A good rule of thumb for cased substrates is to get two or three flushes, then toss them out. They're not like cakes where you can dunk and keep going for flush after flush. A cased substrate will deliver 80 to 90 percent of it's total after two flushes. In my opinion, the fruiting chamber real estate is better served by placing a new tray in its place no later than after the third flush. Why wait for trich to show up and ruin your future projects by sending trillions of spores everywhere just to get that last ten percent? RR

monstermitch I think you may have something there on the FAE. I'm going to hook up a coolmist next time.
RR you make a good point.
Thank you both for the replies.

Great advice . Don't get a whole lot after the third flush . Toss it , or just set it outside and see what happens
