Chocolate potentiation??

So I have heard that eating chocolate with mushies is supposed to potentiate the effect. My first time ever I combined the two during ingestion, and it worked pretty gnarlyey ! I actually went as far as to ask each smartshop salesperson I bought mushies from in Amsterdam their own opinion, it was basically split. I know that for those who don't like the flavor of our little friends, chocolate is very effective at covering this up, however I actually kind of appreciate the taste, probably just for the purpose of knowing what I'm about to experience.
Any thoughts/experiments that might discuss this?

Chocolate has phenethylamine in it, but that's hardly relevant.

I know one reason it makes the trip different.
Theobromine belongs to a class of alkaloid molecules known as methylxanthines. Methylxanthines naturally occur in as many as sixty different plant species and include caffeine (the primary methlyxanthine in coffee) and theophylline (the primary methylxanthine in tea). Theobromine is the primary methylxanthine found in products of the cocoa tree, theobroma cacao. Theobromine affects humans similarly to caffeine, but on a much smaller scale. Theobromine is mildly diuretic (increases urine production), is a mild stimulant, and relaxes the smooth muscles of the bronchi in the lungs. In the human body, theobromine levels are halved between 6-10 hours after consumption.
Caffeine can do a number on your trip(not everybody). And if you are like me, it takes very little caffeine(for example) to change the outcome of the trip. For me caffeine increases the trip, maybe even because of how it makes me edgy or gives me subtle anxiety(if you can call it even that).

It's also probably worh noting that there are a couple of mild MAOI compounds in chocolate. Don't know if there's enough of them to significantly potentiate a trip though.

I always go the chocolate route, but I detest the taste of dried shrooms and rather dislike fresh ones, so the chocolate is for taste in my case. I have not really noticed any potency differences between chocolates, eating them dried or fresh, lemon juice, tea. Chocolates are a good way for me to store them, and I have eaten chocs that were just as powerful six months after I made them.

Chocolate might make a the come up a little more uncomfortable as chocolate tends to be a little rich, combined with the shrooms probably wont help the upset stomache (just a guess, not a fact). Personally though I've dosed mushrooms alone and dried (maybe with a chaser) so many times that the flavour just seems like a part of the whole experience, I made tea once but it just didn't seem right.

chocolate is good for the entire trip I'd say. I found out the stuff which stimulates endorphine release in the brain when you eat chocolate is basically because chocolate has phenylathylamine in it! makes it a relative to amphetamines and MDMA. Stuff one learns :P.....
