I'm not sure what triggered this. I used to watch it, but mostly only Ducks games. Now I find myself watching it every chance I get. Great sport. It's all so fluid and graceful.

I used to watch it when fox had that red swooshy thing that would follow the puck wherever it went.

They should use that for golf.

Watching the Oilers/Ducks series?
Out here hockey is a way of life it seems. People from all walks of life seem to know what the score is while only young people it seems are more tuned into other sports. I even hear little old ladies discussing the NHL playoffs, something you'd probably never see in regard to Basketball, football, or other sports.

best thing that's happened to me recently was glass seats @ a lightning-thrashers match
i was talking to a friend, and my head was near the glass, but i wasn't paying attention to the action that's when a puck smacked square at the exact area of my face, making a deafening sound
't'was punx

Hockey is also one of the few sports where spectators risk injury or death watching the game

only if you are a little girl and its your birthday
There needs to be more fights. Hockey used to be much better back when every team had a few people whose only job were to be "enforcers".

I can't stand hockey fights. It seems they either consist of pushing, pulling someone's jersey over their head, or just skating in a circle without throwing a punch. It's all lost tempers anyway. Many teams lose games every year because of fighting penalties.

Most hockey players cant fight for shit, much less while wearing ice skates and pads. Thats why they need to bring back the enforcers to make the fights good and add excitement to the game.
As long as crap like Bertuzzi's sucker attack on Moore doesn't happen again, hockey will be much better.
