[Q] Getto greenhouse (I.E Martha) and other questions

I am very short on money and I was thinking of household items to complete my greenhouse: It is a glass bookcase I have, I was thinking of using wire coat hangers to extend the width to allow space for painters clear tarp (i.e plastic). I would bend to make a semi-circle on both top parts and extend the sides. I want to place a single cool-mist on the top self. This will allow maximum humidity and allow of run-off to some trays that would catch the water at the bottom. If the RH is still too low I was thinking a large tray full of Perlite on the last shelf would give a ton of HM.

I do have a couple of questions:
Is this design flawed?
How tight should I keep the plastic around the bookcase? Is there a balance between RH and co2 exchange that I should shoot for?

Look up hippychicks greenhouse setup. pvc is cheap. I would go that route. A coolmist inside the greenhouse will be harder to fill, will get way too humid (unless on a timer) and probably fry the motor.

It sounds like an economical plan. A humidifier inside the greenhouse works great, and mine last several times as long inside the greenhouse as outside. Have it on a timer so it runs no more than two minutes at a time. One minute on, six minutes off works great for me. Just leave lots of gaps in the plastic so you have continuous air exchange. RR

I see.. Another question, would lowering the temperature outside of the greenhouse, while providing a more hot of a water in the humidifier help? I.E: Creating condensation. Would that help the RH. I suppose My questions is, is evidence of condensation mirror the RH?

Condensation is the enemy of mushroom cultivation. It breeds bacteria and any moisture that is stuck to the walls is moisture that is NOT in the air any more, making your crop suffer. Condensation is in no way a reflection of humidity. You get condensation on your can of beer in Arizona in the summer time. RR
