Detroit vs. Miami

Ok, myself and Basilides have a friendly bet on this series. I have picked the Pistons and he has unintelligently picked the Heat. The loser must request a 1 week ban from the Shroomery immediately following the series. So, who will win?

After that series with the Cavs, I think Shaq and D-wade will manage to surpass the Pistons. It won't be a push over, but if LeBron James alone can carry his team 3-2 against the Pistons, Shaq and Dwade can probably beat them in the long haul. I don't just believe the Heat will advance, I know for a fact they will advance.

Yeah, Detroit didn't look very good tonight and Miami was hitting everything. The Pistons always seem to like to do everything the hard way, so I'm still confident that they will come back.

I believe that the Pistons will end up taking out the heat. I think after the second game Shaq is going to be wayyyyyyyyyy to tired to step up with Big Ben all series. Also Miami has a starting 5 that is far weaker than the drtriot 5.
It doesnt matter though because the Suns are going to win it all!

If Miami wins and takes a 3-1 lead, Detroit is screwed. Tonight is do or die for Motown.
PS, are you preparing for your ban?

You're telling me. In NBA 2K6 it was a Wade-led Heat that eliminated me from the semi-finals. That virtual version of Wade literally made me throw my control at my coffee table, breaking several glasses.

At first I didn't know how to play Steve Nash so I observed his style of driving and then passing, and now I average 15 assists a game with him.

Only slightly.
The only time the Pistons have recently come back from a 3-1 series deficit was with a post-Shaq Orlando Magic.

Well, they definately don't want a game 7 in Detroit. Detroit is one of the best home teams in the league.
I love watching Detroit in these situations. It's almost like they get in them on purpose.
It will be fun to see Game 6.

Hah, that was funny when Prince took that dunk and was hanging for a few extra seconds on the rim while Dwade tapped him to get down. That really pissed off Prince.

This is going to be a heart breaker for Detroit fans.
I mean, just a few years ago the Pistons were one of the worst teams. All they really had going for them was Big Ben. Then Rip-Sheed arrived in Motown and the championships started to flow.
Maybe they'll make another serious drive for the championship next year, but this year it looks like the NBA Finals are going to have some fresh meat for a change.
As for Miami.. it was an injury last year that sunk them and allowed Detroit to surpass them. When Miami is healthy, they seem to simply be the better basketball team.

Just PM OneMoreRobot or Stein
Good series though - near the end of game 6, I kinda felt bad for Detroit and wanted them to storm back. But Miami deserves this.

Ok, pm sent.
I was hoping that Detroit could come back, but they were just out matched. Wade really put on a show in that series.
