Yes is is, But it also depends on the person.
Are you experienced? If not then It would be adviseable to have some one either come over or at the very least be able to call you.
Do you have some things around you that would entertain you? Like animated movies or a place to go outside?
All depends, But Its usualy fun to trip alone that way you can let all of your feelings come out on things you see or do, without some one there.

its fun with people though cause you have people to share the ridiculous memories with, plus you really get to know people once you can see through each others games

I think one can have a stronger more personal trip while alone; however, I enjoy trippin with people that are also trippin the best. I hate trippin at a party or something, feels like everyone is staring at you and hate you. thats just me though

I would say yes, except with datura. Other than that I cant think of any other drug that with expirence you shouldnt do alone.. if u want to. (I just did a little salvia trip 20 minutes ago alone)

I preffer tripping alone. While tripping I generally come to realize that none of these people have anything to say that's worth listening to. Granted, I've had fun moments with other people, but personally nothing has yet to compare with being able to completely let yourself go free without anyone saying "What are you doing?"

After plenty of trips, I still have to say it depends on the people I would be tripping with. There are some people who I would never want to trip with ever again. They just have a way of bringing me down, either by babbling on and on about nothing, or laughing and slobbering uncontrollably shortly after commenting on how they can handle a large dose no problem. Other people compliment a trip by giving you someone to laugh with, cry with, or just bounce ideas/thoughts off of.I find I am very incompatible tripping with many other people- i have to have lighting/sounds just so and I am very introverted until after the peak, when i really enjoy engaging in conversation. I have only tripped once by myself, and it was very weird. But I really enjoyed it overall. Took a nice long hot shower and the running water was causing all these weird auditory halucinations that sounded like I was in some weird futuristic space ship. It was raining too, so it felt weird to get outta the shower and have the sound of running water continue. I felt so safe and warm from all this crazy galactic activity going on outside of my spaceship (my house). I lied down on my bed and listened to some Stairway to Heaven, I remember lying on my back during the solo and playing air guitar with a huge smile on my face. Who was gonna laugh at me for bein goofy? I was all by myself. I look forward to having another solo trip sometime soon.

Man I know what you mean about idiots who ramble on and on and on and on... about nothing.
My friend I tripped with last week would not shut up, he just kept saying, "its like, its like, its like, WOW, WOW holy shit! OMG!" etc. in a perpetual mind loop. I felt like a dick, but he was giving me a bad trip so I just had to be like "SHUT THE FUCK UP"

Did it get the message across? I wouldn't be surprised if it didn't
Same thing happened to me. Tripping with a person who wouldn't stop going on and on saying things like "Woah, does my voice sound really weird?" "Woah, look at that, it's like an evil clown" "Woah, did you see that?" meanwhile I'm patiently reminding him "Everyone's experience is different, I'm not having the same experience as you, I didn't see that" until eventually I just had to say "This conversation is getting painful to follow, could I just ask that you stop talking for a bit?". He took it well and appologized... Didn't stop talking for more than 10 minutes though...

Yea I mean, I kinda feel bad because I was there once. Not in the sense of being a rambling fool, but just being new to the experience and thinking "omg wow!" So I just avoid tripping with those kinds of people because we will probably end up causing each other to have a bad time

Yes.
But it really depends who it is. Some people are too mentally unstable just to trip, so to trip alone is another thing. They have to be able to understand they are in control and just hallucinating, and not go and do something stupid that they make just be thinking about for the sligest second.

I prefer tripping alone. I like being alone in general and really enjoy 'me' time. A solo trip is like, 10000 hours worth of 'me' time crammed into one little trip

I haven't tripped in ages but I'm thinking of taking mushrooms by myself this summer. To tell the truth, other people just make me anxious, it's not like I have a social phobia or anything it's just like with weed the only time I ever get paranoid is when someone else is making me self-conscious. Having my wife around is different but 'friends' kind of get on my nerves. If I'm really drunk and then smoke weed it's cool but if I blow a couple bong hits with other people I'll start to feel uneasy. If I'm by myself I just space out on tunes or take a long bath with my water proof cd player and I always feel great. I love sex when I'm high, too. I figure shrooms will be about the same (I've done them before just not in a few years).

I find when I'm around other people, I am always torn between 'get drawn into myself' and the 'feel the need for social interaction'
There are very few people I can trip with where I feel comfortable getting 100% lost in my own world. Most people seem to want to talk / laugh / joke / etc -- which is good and all, and I enjoy that also. However, they seem to fail to grasp the concept of what I have coined 'spacing on the shitter' -- just sit there, relax, listen to music and let your thoughts wander.

I only trip alone... I don't really see my self as having bad social anxiety, but there is an element of self consciousness that i have that seems to get magnified when I'm tripping with others, then i usually just end up analyzing my friends personalities in my head and seeing them as fake, i don't like being that guy. Only ever had a blast tripping alone, I can do what i want and really journey into myself without distractions.

At high doses, I only trip alone. Half an eighth is the most I'll take if I'm with someone else.
Last time me and a friend had half an eighth, it was my friends second time having mushrooms and he couldn't stop talking about it all the way through. It really got annoying. Hence why I don't often trip with others.

NO ITS NOT OK TO TRIP ALONE, THIS IS SOCIALLY UNACCPETABLE BEHAVIOR!!. Just kidding, yeah I hate trippin with people who babble alot while they trip, I'm like is anybody giving you any receptive responses, are u having a conversation with someone other than yourself, Then it'll start bugging my trip out, Then I'll yell out something like "silence homie". Then I'll go somewhere where I can recollect myself.

I'm the same and I agree with you fully... It's a great opportunity to just completely cut loose and be yourself without your daily business/responsibilities, and normal desires (watching tv, going online) getting in your way.

Personally I love tripping alone, I find it so much more spiritual, meaningful and intense than if I'm tripping with others (although I guess it depends on the type of friends you have, experienced trippers etc, I only tend to know and have tripped with people who are not particularly experienced in much that life throws at us, possibly a bit immature, only know what a good time is through the use of excessive alcohol, and just generally ignorant to be blunt heh). I would recommmend it fully as long as you feel ok by yourself usually and not lonely, bored or insecure. I know some people who can't stand to be alone, no matter what for more than a few hours or else they fall really depressed, for this type of person I wouldn't recommend it, but to someone who enjoys quality time by themselves, it's the only way to go in my honest opinion.

i prefer tripping alone most of the time, for the simple reason that I am pretty easy to please.
whenever i trip with other people they are usually all about driving around and calling a million people and oohhh lets go do this..
i prefer to go on my own little trips and not worry about other people. if thats selfish, then tis what tis..

I find that I'm much more likely to have a really profound or insightful experience if I'm alone or with a single friend. That being said it all depends on the kind of trip you're looking to have. If I trip alone I'm more likely to just sit around and explore my mind but I'm also more likely to start in on a negative kind of thought loop. If I trip with a single friend who I'm very comfortable around I find that I can have a similar experience to that of being alone but I'm less likely to enter negative thought space. I feel that I can bounce some of my thoughts off of this person which can help me calm down. If I trip with a group friends it's typically a more fun, light-hearted experience, though I would recommend choosing friends to trip with carefully making sure that you're very comfortable around them.

Tripping alone is great, i've recently been tripping alone more often and i find that i'm able to reflect on my life alot more then when i'm with people. It is also fun with people though, it's one of the coolest things when you can connect on such a deep level with someone who is also on mushrooms. I'd say that if your looking for a learning/spiritual trip then tripping alone would be better, but if your looking for a good time then tripping with friends is great...not to say that tripping alone isn't a good time lol

Yes, it is the preffered way for me if it is a high dose trip. This way I can control the music and the environment. I've had friends have bad trips, and that can be a downer for everyone as well.
A 2g deal, I could trip alomst anywhere, with anybody.
