My dog innoculated 12 jars on sunday and still have yet to see any growth besides the green mold growing in one of the jars . . whats going on?
When will he see something? I used rye flour/verm and honey water and was using keepers creepers . .

It is not unusual to see white mycellia springng up to 10 days after innoc, if the conditions aren't right, i.e. too cold, too dry, spores are old.
However, if you have mold growing already, I strongly reccomend you take that jar, and discard its contents. It is possible for mold to spread from jar to jar.
If after 14 days there is nothing, something obviously went wrong. Trace your steps, check your methods, and begin again.
Keeping a journal is a good idea, you can always refer to it when things go wrong, or very right -

If your temps are in the 80s, you would probably start seeing some growth, if its lower, it could take a week to see growth.
How old were your spores, if they were old, that could be your problem. Also, make sure your cakes are at a good moisture level

well i decided that i would check everything a little more and it seems that the little green devil has taken over many jars . .i opened and took a peek inside! Owell . . .this suxs first time and a no go!!!
Guess ima have to retace my steps n try harder.. Its all bout sterility . .gunna use syringes this time!!!!!!

i used a print and a sterilized knife to scrape them in . . .idk how it got contaminated but mayb it was cause i only boiled for 30 minutes . . .ima use the steam tek next time!!!!!

Wait...you just scraped spores from a print into honey water? I think thats where the problem came from....just get a syringe and follow the pf tek

no i put some water to boil and added honey and then i added water to substrate and then i boiled then i added substrate!!!

Do yourself a favor and go back to BRF and spores syringes. I lost 3 fuckin batches of jars to the green monster using rye flour and honey water. Unless you have mastered PF Tek then you should have a grip on the variables involved. I think your problem was the liquid mycelium. IMHO honey water isnt as easy as people make it out to be.
