water pooling on cakes
    #5661085 - 05/22/06 05:49 PM (17 years, 8 months ago)

I was looking for some comments on my setup. I laid down about half inch of perlite in a container and have an ultra sonic humidifier hooked up to my terrarium through a 2 foot hose. I have the humidifier set to run ever 1 and a half hours for 30 mins. There are holes in the bottom of the tank to let excess water run out. The water vapor from the humidifier pools on the top of the cakes and I was wondering if this was dangerous. Everything looks like its growing great, but I don't want it to turn in the other direction due to over saturation. I was also wondering if anyone knew the best setting for the Holmes Ultra Sonic Humidifier. Right now I have it at the lowest mist setting but the highest power setting. Any input would be great.
