It's not super bad, more drainage time is at hand next time.

I strongly disagree with mixing verm in grain jars. If you have excess moisture, it will soak it up. If you have the correct moisture, it will screw it up by making the grains too dry. The trick is to learn to get the right moisture content. Grains should be totally dry on the surface before loading jars. That's all. It's simple. The moisture inside the grains is what you want. Either use a towel to dry after draining, or drain the grains after a simmer, and toss them around in the strainer so the steam can dry the surface. RR

I'm a 100% novice grower but I shake the jar a bit and look at the grains stuck to the side and look for two things; a wet "halo" around the grains that stick to the jar and no puddles in the jar when allowed to rest. I would worry about too little moisture if there was no halo and too much moisture if there was puddling.

Moisture content looks just fine bro, shaking will redistribute moisture as your WBS colonizes just make sure theres no standing water at the bottom of the jar as that will indicate excess moisture. GL

I started adding a bit of verm just throwing a handful to each jar, stopped the pooling at the bottom, and yeah from time to time i have a dry jar mostly when i use tyvek and not polyfill.

When straining (WBS) I always let it sit a drain for a minimum 20 min and sometimes an hour even depending on quantity.
