whats so special about a second flush?

my friend is on his second flush, but the thing is, it doesnt appear to be producing more shrooms than the first. each casing is producing around 18 fruits a piece. but there is no noticeable difference in the size of the fruits from the first flush. he is using just 50-50 plus hydrated lime (a very small amount) and he is fruiting lipa yais. any insight to this would be much appreciated. next time he's thinking of using a different casing formula. can this help with more fruits or larger caps?

I usually just sell my second flush to the niggers. (they don't know the difference) :smile:

why dont you just give them away to your family and friends, you shouldnt charge them.

just the regular ol brf, cant fail with it, i dont think...when my friend feels he's got a good grasp of this hobby, he will go ahead and start using other substrates. could it be the brf?

There's nothing wrong with brown rice. It should produce a flush or two or more. Usually, the second flush wil be more potent with larger fruits. Results will vary.
