chemistry classes

I didn't use to pay attention to my chemistry classes, but I remember one thing that had always made sense to me and seems to be challenged when cultivating mushrooms. Like when we turn pf jars upside down to colonize the bottom faster by making CO2 go to the top. In a closed recipient wasn't it supposed to be balance between gases, the concentration be the same in the whole jar? Same to humidity. If we mist perlite, isn't FC gonna be more humid and so the casing/cakes?

Donno, but maybe whoever told you that was describing "loosening up the bottom so its not stuck to the glass and to itself and wont colonize" which is, naturally, accomplished by gas (because thats what all empty space is except in a vacuum)... Getting C02 to the other side of the jar doesn't imply it wasn't equal in the jar, its just that sometimes the bottom clump of substrate in a PF cake and get kind of "stuck" to itself and the glass, making it hard or sometimes near impossible to colonize the entire bottom. Sounds like your over-worrying about it though, the looser + more surface area a substrate has, the faster it will colonize.

Not worrying too much, just wondering. Trying to make something useful of chemistry, which I hated and hate but had to study. What I read in past threads was that turning the jar upside down would make CO2 to concentrate on the top (now the bottom cuz it's upside down) cause it's heavier than oxigen. And about humidity, I was wanted to avoid misting the casing directly.

I've never turned jars different ways to speed up growth. I truthfully doubt you'd see a major difference. Just make sure you incubate them at the right temperature, and keep them dark. checking once a day is fine.
Perlite wicks standing water up and puts it in the air as high humidity 95%+. Misting the perlite is fine, but it's more automated if you just add water straight. In all thruth, you don't even need perlite, and you could get by humidifying your FC with nothing more than a spray bottle. I know people with 4 shelf marthas that use spraying as the only means of humidification.
Make sure you fan out your FC so it has fair air exchange. A believed key to fruiting is a drop in CO2 levels.

Good thing about casings is that they create their own enviroment (to a certain extent)... With perlite humidification, i would spray the SIDES of the FC every now and again, then the top of the casings 1-4 times a day (depending how dry they look), but the momment you see pins stop spraying directly on the casings (and be careful when spraying the walls of the FC, because too much mist on pins = abort). And yes, make sure to fan 3-4 times a day or more for FAE (frequeny air exchange). Or forgo perlite, and pump in via modded hose from a cool mist... FAE + humidity. Personally, if im not using a greenhouse, perlite + hand fanning works fine for me. Hope this helps.
Grain + casing = way to go for time, yield, ease (gotta be a little cleaner though, dont got the protective PF verm layer)

thanx, guys, Last time I had a funny mushie growing in my casing instead of the wanted cubes. Now I'm always worried about contams, although everyone says mic is resistant to contamns. I'll try a monotub next time, I guess it's safer. For now I'll have to fan and mist.

A casing layer is quie easily contaminated. A coolmist humidifier supplies enough air exchange to keep casing contams from happening. Most are a direct result from stale air pockets, so be sure to fan quite a bit if using perlite for humifiication.
First time I tried casings in a perlite FC, 60% were lost to cobweb and green mold. The other 40% just had plain crappy fruits.
Grain+h/poo+casing = a bit more time than SDP requires, but way the hella better.

What if I make a mini monotub to case 4 cakes? Do ya think is worth the effort? No fanning or misting needed so I won't be paranoic about contams. And besides, I don't have time to fan 4 times a day, and can't buy a coolmist humidifier cuz I just can't right now. I was gonna birth them and let the cakes be cakes cos I wanna be sure I'll have mushrooms for a trip at least, doesn't have to be the greatest trip of my life, just wanna trip.

That should work fine. You should get plenty for you + a friend or so to trip. Quality should be good too, i tripped nuts off my first Golden Teacher on BRF cakes. good luck!
