No need...

I think you forget that I have several of the large 4 tier greenhouses.

I think I was the one that showed you the greenhouses when you were a newbie here...
although my memory is getting terrible in my old age.

Where did you see those temp requirements. AFAIK, fruiting temps are the same desired for cubensis..

It could have been that particular strain as well. He did his Pan Cyan Aussies in normal room (cubie) temps, as did I, same closet even...

I was going off what Blue had said . I just checked his grow log on this strain and he said to keep it between 75-82 , higher then his cubes.

According to Stamets, fruiting , or cropping , for Pans Cyans is between 75-80 . That is still higher then I do cubes .

Think I'll set up 2 two tier and put one with my edibles and one a little hotter and see what happens .

I can't ever seem to find these things at the Walgreens where I live. I found potting soil but that's about it. Is your Walgreens on steriods or something?

Hippiechick, I just bought the exact same thing at walgreens, 19.99 on sale

It'll be perfect.. one question though - how did you hook your lights up? I was considering zip-tying a compact flourescent above each teir inside the greenhouse, but the exposure of lights to really high moisture environments doesn't sound the best to me. Maybe I'm just overly paranoid though?

Well it's not finished , but I did just modify a cool mist for it . So I can help ya out there .

The way I do my cool mists is great , I think  , easy , and quite universal in use . You can run a hose from it if you want .

First , I need a cool mist , not really , I have about 5 in reserve,lol , but I've become very fond of a certain type .

This one right here

I have one running to each green house now . They are nice and big , only have to be filled every 3 days or so , and , usually , pretty easy for me to find . Not only that , this type motor is used on quite a few other types , so replacement motors are also easy to find .

So off to the Goodwills . First one is only about 5 minutes away so I'm lucky there . No Luck

Off to another one only 10 minutes from there , with a Salvation Army a block from it . I have 4 Goodwills within 15 minutes from me and pass one every day  on my way to work . Stop in at least once a week . Found a PC that can do seven quart jars for $2

No Luck at Salvation Army . Might be a bust . Head across the street to the Good will , BINGO

one of the exact models I wanted , $1 , and one that I'm sure most of you recognize , $3 . Two cool mists , $4 .

Now , I use PVC to modify my cool mists . I know you've heard don't modify the body , you won't be able to return it . BULL , lol .

Think about it , as long as the motor isn't attached , which I don't know of any that are , when it burns up , go out , buy another one , bring it home , clean up the burnt up motor , swap the motors and return it the next day and tell them it didn't work . If they ask you if you want to exchange it , tell them "No thanks , I'm gonna get a little better one I saw at Wal-Mart" Get your money back and leave . Repeat as needed .

But , I use $2 cool mists so what do I have to lose . They seem to hold up better then the Vick's 400 , or whatever it is I've tried . I've had to return 3 of them so far . That was my fault though , I only had one line running from them and I think back pressure did them in . You really don't want to restrict the air flow too much .

OK , this is what I'm gonna use

I probably won't need the dremel , yet . Maybe tomorrow when I do the green house inlets .

You're gonna need 3 couplers , .16 a piece , and a short piece of PVC pipe , your choice of size , I use 3/4". A 10 foot piece is $1.69 . You'll need about a nickels worth , or about 3",lol.

Now , cut one of the couplers , 16 cents a piece , in half and slide it onto the end of a piece of PVC . Push the finished end , not the end you cut ,  onto the PVC . You want this end going up against the cool mist when you use it to get a better seal . Slide it on the PVC till its flush on the bottom , Make a mark 5/8" from the end of the coupler

and cut it off . Make 2 pieces this size .

Use some PVC cement and glue these two pieces together , Flush , finished side towards the cool mist . This glue grabs quick , so get it in place pretty quick .

We need some holes in the cool mist now . I like to place them as far apart as I can to give me more play when I run it to the green house .

I use a 7/8" spade drill . Got a whole set for like $8 . And put my two holes in . Make sure you get them as far above the fill line as possible.

Run a bead of sealant , I use plumbers Goop , around the edge of your little adapter you made ,

and push up through a hole . I wedge a little scrap piece of PVC under it for support when I glue the next piece on

Run another bead of sealant where it extends through the cool mist and apply some PVC cement

Push a coupler on and push down hard , and this is what you have

repeat for the other hole and your cool mist is modified .

As far as running it to your green house , martha , or any fruiting chamber when you want good FAE , just use 45 deg , 90 degree and regular couplers to run it any way you want

with the angles and the fact you don't glue any of this and you can twist it also , you can run it anywhere .

I'll probably run mine like this , one line to each outlet to the green house

You'll see where I was doing this , I put another outlet in the cool mist . One of these takes care of a 4 tier , so I may want to rune another line off in the future . I'll just plug it for now with a little capped scrap piece

Now poke a couple inlets in the green house and it's ready to go . I'll probably do that tomorrow

Like I said , very cheap , I think less then a dollar in materials and very useful . I use hoses with this setup also . Just slide it on and use a radiator clamp .

Peace,Love,Happiness and Harmony
 Hippie Chick  :mushroom2:

Oh , heres a tip . Take the filter out and tape it up with microspore tape . Helped eliminate a lot of contams for me . The air is pulled in through the tape .

Where'd you get that large square shaped cool mist? Brand? Model? If you don't mind me asking .
