I'll be able to post there...I forget the exact date but it's something like June 23rd. So will Ellemyshade cause we both registered on the same day.

maybe we should create a shroomery task force
we could back trace everyone that lurks and investigate them
if they turn out to be LEO or a really big douche bag
then it's off with their head!

As an administrator I like to see the Shroomery pop up in search results. We don't pay for any advertising and the only way people find us is through search or word of mouth, so I'm glad when they do. It's a weird situation though, because someone may be thrilled to find the site, but as soon as they've a member, they want it to be an exclusive club which is invisible to outsiders. I call it the "I was never a noob syndrome". However, if you sign up as a supporter, you can prevent your threads from being indexed by Google.

Hi Ythan! Thanks for starting this board.
Anyhow, I think that there's a way to circumvent the problem you guys are debating. Don't tell anyone who you are, or any other personal information, on here. I remember reading another of Ythan's posts about never having been subpoenaed by LE or served some kind of e-warrant to open up the registry, here, and dole out people's IP addresses to the fuzz (or anything else of that nature). If and when you do decide to incriminate yourself, ask Ythan about getting a "grow puppet," or another similarly humorous moniker, that in effect cloaks your identity.
It's funny that the OP of the thread has her picture and her name as her avatar and SN (or maybe that's not her), and it would be pretty dumb if that were true and she were asking for "members only" status.
Option 2 is to do what I do: don't do anything illegal, and post all you want about yourself. I quit getting high 7 years ago, and only do mushrooms maybe 2-3 times per year for meditative/introspective purposes (and don't grow them). I also discourage people on this board from taking addictive and harmful drugs. So there you go. Get a job and quit getting high, hippies.

I don't do any illegal plants/fungi/substances (I don't take any synthetics/pills at all, including aspirin). I love this website though since it has some of the best discussions, information, insight (not to mention people) etc around.
Even when seeking to understand the nature of addiction, I prefer visiting this site rather than someplace like the uncommon forums (psychology forum). Although that site has MASSIVE threads about quitting mj and about dealing with sobriety in their addictions forum, I don't like the mindset those people have about entheogens in general. I don't think one can devalue the positive impact these entheogens have had on people/society. I find that that are numerous other posters on this forum who feel the same.
Like I said though, the premise is not just self-incrimination of illegal activities via posts, it's how LE etc might use this site for purposes of research towards deciding what to schedule.
Also, I do have a job if that post was aimed at me about being a hippie. I'm several decades shy of even being around (or conceived) during the 'hippie' era.
