I've had experience with cakes a few years ago, and just recently, I dove into the world of casings.
I used 50/50 coir and verm with a complete casing depth of around 2 inches. My fruits came out wonderful, and I had fantastic pinsets and fruits. The only bad aspect of the situation is that my product comes out incredibly thin and I was just wondering if others that have used a similar tek had similar results.
These are Dixies that were dried at 95 degrees for 24 hours.
Before harvest:

Wet weight:

Finished product:

Let me know what you guys think. Thanks.

That must be an awfully deep dish if you have 2" of casing in there. Generally, the casing should be no more than 1/4 the depth of the substrate, so you would need an 8" substrate layer to use a 2" casing. Personally, regardless of how deep I make the substrate, I don't use over 3/4" of casing material. RR
