from what i hear pasturizing kills off the bad bacteria and leaves some beneficial organisms in it. but ive never tried both, so i cant tell you from experience

I have used pasturised and have had good success. Well I used pre pasturised and now am trying my own home pasturised. I hope my home pasturization works good =X.

I can't speak from experience either...yet, but from what I have learnt, once hpoo reaches above pasteurization temperature into sterilization temperature (~180 F), beneficial bacteria die that would actually help the hpoo from getting very easily contaminated. If the hpoo is sterilized, it is extremely susceptible to contamination and unless you have a super sterile lab with one of those suits and sealed perfectly uncontaminated rooms...you're most propably going to get your poo all contaminated. Although pasteurized hpoo can still get contaminated, the bacteria that get killed above 180 F prevent the poo to a certain extent from getting contam.

give up poo. pasteurize straw with lime and bleach and nothing but good healthy mycelia can grow for 2-3 weeks(more then plenty enough time)
