Mushroom hunt, May21 - 20+ pictures

Went for a hike/hunt in the woods in my back yard.
Here is a view of one of the areas that I was hunting in.

First I saw a bunch of Pluteus cervinus specimens of course, fruiting on wood.

Next I found a Psathyrella velutina specimen:

Also saw a single oyster.. it wasn't in good edible condition though. A little too old.

Went deeper into the woods and another Psathyrella species. This one is not velutina:

Saw a Bolete:

Found some old mycenas:

Some Galerinas, which had a fragile ring on the stems dusted with rusty brown spores (may not be visible in the pics):

A single little mushroom:

Interesting little white gilled mushroom.. seems to be something that branched off of another genera.. my keys to genus are outdated, and new genera have been created since, species have been replaced, etc.

This one appears to be a collybia.

A big spider.. this thing was bigger than a half dollar:

Giant mutant skunk cabbage:

A hole.. I wonder what lives down there.

Sticker bushes, covering a tree trunk totally, with flowers on them:
Hygrophorus species

I have some more pics to upload soon, also I'm going back outside. This was a brief hunt. I had so many pictures that I figured I would upload and clear them, then go back outside.

Thanks.
Not sure what kind of spider it is... it was pretty fast moving though. Anyone good at spider ID's?

Yeah. it's all over the place. That patch just happened to be like 10x the normal size. The stuff does smell like skunk when damaged!

Well the Bolete bruised bright blue when sliced down the middle.

I never mess with blue bruising boletes.. I consider them something to not eat!
Note the teal looking color on the base of the stem in the picture.

Just went to go back into the woods, and only made it like 10 feet from my door when I saw this!
A pretty orange hygrophorus. Very slippery and tough to grab on to. I love the colorful mushrooms from that genus.

Thanks YESSUP, Wolf spider - cool. It's hairy like a wolf too! Speaking of spiders, I like that gif in your sig.
Took a few more pics, and I'm worn out from all the walking.
Sunny woods.

Cool looking trippy moss.

Looks like this tree vomited ashes or something!

It might be dried sap, It might also be animal feces of some kind; it looks like something lives in there.
Nice finds and photos Eris. I think those little orange ones are Hyrocybes, something close to Hygrocybe miniata.

This thread is sick! I love the woods . Wicked plants, and wicked fungus. The forest is really booming, in the wood there is breath and life. Coming alive just like my place, a palace in the foothills. I sleep by rocks by the river, and hunt even in the winter.

I think some of the species that were once Hygrophorus are now Hygrocybe.. synonyms or something. I thought the viscid ones were still considered Hygrophorus. I don't know, my books are pretty old.
MustardMan, no I didn't find any actives. I did eat some earlier, before I went on the hike. It really made things come to life more. I mostly look for edibles out there.
flowie, when I saw all of that moss and those plants, it looked like they were moving. The mushrooms I ate earlier made me see all kinds of stuff.

My vote is for animal shit
A lot of animals will live in holes like that and crap out the side of the hole so they don't have to live in it.

I would have guessed that stumps such as these fill the role that sheep do for men in Montana. My vote it other kind of substance
