they are such a tease. when i woke up and realized it was only a dream, i felt something die inside. it was so perfect, so surreal. do you ever think that maybe the dream world is the real one, and our waking life is the illusion? sometimes i wish it were true. when i die, i hope i go in my sleep, deeply immersed in the things that i will never know in this world.

Yeah, I know how you feel. It can take a few hours to get over the fact that it wasn't real sometimes.

What was the dream?

I HATE that feeling. You're in a dream and everything is perfect, for me it's usually I'm with someone my brain made up that's perfect in every aspect and I love them, sometimes I want to be them, or at least close to them, and when you wake up and reality sets in it's almost painful. Then you wish you were there again. Sucks!!

be a master of lucid dreaming and you could go back whenever you want but its not real healthy to throw your life a away by living in some false reality

yea happy dreams are like 10 times worse than nightmares, cause with nightmares you feel great afterwards....but with those perfect dreams you feel what its like for everything to finally come together perfectly

and then you wake up and realize it was all just a tease, and then feel your soul sink down

at least thats what its like for me
life....

I've had days where I've casually motioned with my hand, expecting to close a door or perhaps bring an object to my hand, but entirely with my mind. My dreams tend to be intense, detailed and long. They also tend to have a lasting subconcious effect for awhile after awakening.

What's weird is when you have a memory of a dream that you swear is no different from your other memories of the waking life. Dreams rock, and I find that when I take 5htp before bed, which I do 2-4x a week to regulate my moods, my dreams have an even greater texture.

I one time had a dream where I thought I had met my soulmate. We were madly in love and everything was perfect. It was the happiest Ive ever been. And then I woke up.

That was one of the worst feelings Ive ever had.  :frown:

yeah. I think most of us know that feeling. Everything in its right place.. then something happens. You start to look around and reality starts rushing in through your tired eyelids. It was all just a dream. Time to start the day.

Its like getting stabbed in your heart with a spear.

I have never in my life had a nightmare. Or at least I've never been "scared" in my dreams. I've dreamed some weird ass shit before. Anyone who hangs out with me long enough hears the cricket dream story, heh. Basically I was dreaming I was in the shower and for some reason the drain was backed up so the water was filling the tub, almost up to my knees. Then all of the water in the tub and falling from the shower head turned into crickets. Jumping, squirming, chirping crickets. It was weird and kind of disturbing, but that's about the "scariest" dream I've had in terms of how I felt about it while dreaming.

Then I have a dream where I'm fucking some hot celeb or maybe an old high school crush or whatever and it all balances out.

I think everybodies had these "love" dreams.  When everythings perfect.

I remember when I was younger I had some of those dreams (really young) and experienced "love" emotions in those dreams.  And I was always was like... wow... amazing.

The one time I fell inlove was just as... amazing...

Last night I dreamed that I broke into some kind of weird mall/plaza type place. I had sex with this hot security guard chick, (I was posing as a security guard too). The plot was to get in and secure this badass antique pool table they had on display. Then we brought in the world's best billiars players, black market style.. they paid huge fees and everything.. and played pool.

It was sublimely silly, but fun. I really enjoyed sliding in under the closing garage door-style security gate just before it closed. Of course in my dream I slid like 100 feet past it. Whee!
