Just finished my PMP, Question.

i built my PMP then stuck a bubble wand across the bottom, one of those 20sum inch flexible ones. Poured the water and perlite in. hooked it up to an air pump. I used a hot nail to make 2 small holes to snugly fit the 2 air hoses for the 2 wands. I only used one wand leaving me with a small hole next to the first hose. Very quickly i had 94-96% humidity and 76-78 deegrees. it stayed at those temps through the entire day.
then i tried it with the pump off and it was giving me those same temps but it just took longer to get to that point.
is the bubble wand just for air exchange? cause if i dont need it i'll get rid of it. if not would adding the other bubble wand benefit me? should i make some vent holes at the top and cover them with something like the medical tape? or would that effect my temps?

hah had to look up what rh was. i understand that now. thank you
what about the vent holes. I have none except a small hole on the side where I thought another hose was going in. should I make some on the top, if so how big/many? or would that mess with the levels of humid and temp?

I have 4 small holes in mine(the size of a pen) filled with polyfill. It seems to do fine. If the lid on the FC is not air tight I wouldnt worry about holes. If you are going to make the lid air tight, then you definately need some holes.

nah its not even close to air tight, seems good now that i understand a little more. what about the hole where i thought another air hose was going in? should i fill that up with polyfill? also where locally can i find that?

is the bubble wand just for air exchange? Yes, it is mostly for air exchange.
cause if i don't need it I'll get rid of it. Ok, but your gonna pay in a lower pin count.
if not would adding the other bubble wand benefit me? The more air exchange without lowering humidity the better.
should i make some vent holes at the top and cover them with something like the medical tape? or would that effect my temps? No need for the tape. If the pimp is on all the time there is always airflow out the holes.

I have a dual output air pump feeding 2 wands in mine. It does great man. I know the air exchange is awesome and the humidity is atleast 95%. I would guess like 98 or 99. The sides of my tub are recessed and that is where I have the wands. Since they are recessed I can keep my water level at about 3/4" and the wand are still completely submerged. I would go with 2 wands depending on the size of your tub. But, you would probably be ok with one. You don't need to cover your holes due to the constant pressure but if you want to be safe fill them with polyfill (super cheap at wallmart). Thats what I did.
