There are many ways to make it. You can use banisteriopsis and psychotria to make the real deal or you can use tons of different ingredients to make analogues. The analogues are identical to the original in their effects. Just make sure you have good info so you make an effective mixture. Check out the ayahuasca forums for info...just google ayahuasca forums. "Ayahuasca Analogues" by Jonothan Ott is highly recomended. All of the ingrediants can be easily and legally obtained. Check out; www.iamshaman.com

Yes, I buy my Salvia from iamshaman, they kick ass. Ayahuasca is VERY interesting to me... Can you tell me more about it, its preparations and its effects? I know that tribes make massive brews of it and even small children partake in the experience...

One analogue is with peganum harmala and desmanthus illinoensis. Another is peganum harmala and mimosa hostilis. The brew contains DMT which is not orally active due to the action of monoamine oxidase in the digestive system. So one adds harmaline to the mix to inhibit the action of monoamine oxidase. It is a short term MAO inhibitor. So this renders the DMT active in the digestive system. One must abstain from the intake of certain tryptamine containing foods during the first 2 or 3 hours of the experience to prevent a rise in blood pressure. I have had about 20 experiences with it, but my last was 5 years ago so you need to find some more reliable info on the brew and it's contraindications. After the first hour there is about 20 minutes of severe diarrhea and vomiting that is intense but over quickly. It is not a painful thing just intense and fast. The experience lasts about 8 hours. There is a VERY strong auditory component, but it is also much like shrooms in some ways.

"severe diarrhea and vomiting" would you call that cleansing or purification? Why has it been 5 years since your last experience with it?

Because I wanted to learn about it so I did. I just haven't got around to messing with it again. Eventually I will. The vomiting and diarhea are a cleansing type thing and are only mildly unpleasant...as long as you are in an appropriate place. My first time I was in a McDonald's restroom and unprepared. I also had taken a massive amount the first time...so Micky Ds wasn't the best place to be, but I did alright. The only really bad thing is the taste. Aya tastes worse than anything I have ever tasted and making it stinks the house up a little bit. Peyote tastes like candy in comparison. My wife hated the smell and I have stayed away partially so I will not infringe on her olfactory rights. It is beautiful and strange. My next subject of study will probably be Amanita Muscaria. I have been reading up on it for a time.

I have used aminitas 3 times and still have 2 ounces of them... they are subtle in effect but can be hostile in side effect... The first time I ate 8 grams or so, felt very irritable, waited, waited, waited.... nothing. and this is after fasting. Very disappointed.
Next time I ate 14+ grams, 2 hrs later, I felt very little... I then began to see some strange visuals. The ordinary things still seemed at least as solid as they do normally... I want to say they seemed even more solid. Things would just kind of pop out, but not in any kind of "tripping" sense, I was in a sober mind, I want to say "more sober" then sober. Very strange. I woke up in the middle of the night with severe cold sweats and cramping. My body was in horrible condition I could still see visuals the next day... didn't sleep for the following two days with similar symptoms, almost had a breakdown... but they stopped and I recovered.

The third time I ate them was incredible. We all ate some woodrose seeds, some aminitas and some cubensis... Had the most magical night of my life. Probably ate 5 grams of aminitas, 15-20 woodrose seeds and 3 grams of cubensis each.

Woodrose sucks. I went through my woodrose phase 15 year ago. It made me feel like shit. Are you aware that you should cook or sautee the amanitas to turn the ibotenic acid which is toxic to muscimole which is non-toxic and psychoactive? After cooking the side effects reportably are minimized.

I will check this out in the near future. In any case aya is worth the trouble. It has only brief side effects, but packs a weird punch with no real physical side effects after the vomiting and crapping. I will say that you feel very clean and pure afterwards. Grocery shopping on aya will change your perspective on it. My woodrose experiment was with 15 seeds and I wasn't very impressed. I got very sick off and on.

Oh yeah...aya also amplifies your hearing tremendously. I was once hearing a very loud irritating buzz while in the bathroom and later found it to be the refrigerator buzzing very quietly in the kitchen....which was 50 feet away.
