Didn't I say that they are to a point inseperable? It's rare that a musician has both in equal measure. Almost always one comes more naturally than the other.

While I don't listen to them much anymore (I definately over did it) I still think they are amazing.

All right, I've given Yes' Fragile a listen. All right stuff, and Steve Howe seems like a great guitarist, but nothing reached out, grabbed me by the throat, and screamed "This guy is in the same league as Steve Vai!!!".
Check out this song off of Vai's latest album. Steve Vai - Building The Church This is a link to my myspace page (don't laught at it ). I'm using it because the song will have unlimited listens available. It works pretty well to showcase how fucking amazing Vai is, not just as a guitarist, but as a songwriter.

 Peace.

I can't help you much, but I am a great, great, ..., great grandson of Bach. (I think there are five greats in there, but would have to look at the family tree to know for certain.)

Nope, but I think I saw him a few (well, more than that now) years ago in concert, opening for Anthrax.
