I have a spawn bag full of bird seed that completed growth about 3 weeks ago. I am want to fruit this in the bag, At least the first flush

I put it under 18 light 6 hrs dark and reduced the temperature to 68 - 72 degrees F two weeks ago Should I have seen some kind of change or am I impatient Or should I case the grain instead
PLEASE HELP!

what i do with my bags is where gloves and break them up into ten studd horse poo mix it up ...then i put ten foil over the casing poke holes and let it incubate for another 4-8 days maybe longer till almost fully colonized then put it in the fc with perlite. i find ideal temps at 75 degrees...o and i recomend giving more lite time untill pinning

Light is only one of the pinning triggers, and it's terribly overrated at that. Other pinning triggers that are as important as light, if not more so, are full colonization of the substrate, a substrate that can support fruiting which bird seed is poor at all by itself, and a massive increase in air exchange.
In my opinion, your quickest bet to get fruits is to open the top of the bag and add 1/4" to 1/2" of peat/verm casing mix. Close the bag loosely, to allow some venting and put it back on the shelf. Once or twice per day, open the bag and let it get a complete exchange of air. Lightly mist the casing layer when you air out the bag to keep it moist. At this point, I wouldn't see anything to be gained by incubating or otherwise trying to keep the cased wbs in the incubator. You should see some fruits within ten days or so of adding the casing layer. Good luck. RR
