Contaminated TLG syringe

OK, I know that everyone says syringes cant be contaminated, because they are made in sterile conditions. Recently, i recieved 8 syringes from TLG. Two of them, African Transkei and Thai Elephant dung had strange brown spongy matter floating in the syringes. I recently did agar cultures of all seven strains, fourteen dishes in total. I did this in a glove box. I took the necessary precautions, flame sterilizing the syringes and rubbing in alcohol. Only four of all fourteen were contaminated. They were both TED and AT. Its only been two days since inoculation and there is strange pink matter growing on the dishes. Here are some photos. You can even see that it is growing in the pattern that the solution was sprayed onto the agar.

Bacteria. I don't see any parafilm and you're handling the dishes without gloves. That alone will contaminate them with bacteria. RR

Don't you think the dark area on the rim is from whatever the dishes are wrapped with?
And, would what you are describing be the case, the contamination would be located more towards the outside of the dish, not exactly in the middle and not exactly where the spore water landed.
As for "I know that everyone says syringes cant be contaminated, because they are made in sterile conditions." I don't know who ever claimed this, but it is clearly bullshit. Every vendor has a bad batch from time to time, and every now and then, a bad batch passes the quality control, as it seems to have happened in your case.
Contact them for replacement.

The dishes were closed with tape around the edges before they even left the glove box. I don't see how handling closed and sealed dishes with my hands could contaminate them.

That was my thinking exactly. The contamination is exactly where the solution landed. And if it was contamination from me, then why would only the 2 AT dishes and the 2 TED dishes be contaminated, and none of my other 12? And how do I go about asking for replacements? Dragon

Email them that you saw some bacteria under the microscope, and that's not what you wanted.

I emailed the dude at TLG saying I noticed bacteria under my microscope. No reply yet. I'm getting pretty angry. Dragon
