BRF, verm, & worm castings ratio?
    #5651206 - 05/19/06 06:26 PM (17 years, 8 months ago)

im currently using this method for my BRF jars to make a dozen 1/2 pint jars.

2-2/3 cups of the brown rice flour
8 cups of vermiculite
2-2/3 cups of water

what would I do if I wanted to add worm castings? What ratios? also does anyone know if it helps that much to even add the worm castings?

I am currently experimenting with a casing layer that substitutes peat with worm castings. I'll let you know how it works.

1 part Sand
2 parts Composted HPoo/Sawdust
2 parts Worm Castings

this is a casing layer?
sounds like a substrate more than a casing layer.
how did you come up with this as a good casing choice?
