free and in chains simultaneously

I have a spirit of freedom.
for the time being, I have separated myself from It to a certain degree.
In possesing a body, I have enslaved myself.
In relinquishing that body, I shall set myself free.
for freedom is my true nature.
Nothing can deprive me of my true nature, for I am truly free, as I always have been and always will be. Freedom is always my destiny.
So know that though I am in chains now, I will be free soon. Very soon. It is inevitable.
Why did I put myself in chains, you ask?
for you

I'm afraid from your posting I must conclude that you are delusional and can only be an example of that. You aren't here to set us free and you're not another Jesus. IMO you need therapy badly and even maybe meds for a short time.

What do you expect to accomplish by putting yourself in figuratively spoken chains for anybody, much less yourself...?
I don't really understand your post.... At all.... ***scratches head*** Sssooooo, I must be the weakest link, goodbye....!
(Why did you put yourself in "chains", for anyone anyways - since I already asked....?)

1) Who has gained their freedom as a direct result of you choosing to chain yourself up, when you will then unchain yourself by choice...?
2) If you are loosing by choice, the other person didn't really win because you "faked" the challenge - thus it wasn't a challenge.... You win by learning and becoming a stronger opponent, and you would be doing a disservice to your opponent by purposely not challenging them, because they wouldn't be learning....
It is like me saying that I am a winner for playing a game of tennis against a maple tree opponent, making the tree a winner too for not putting up a challenge....!? There was no challenge, thus there was no winner....

I win when you win
If you winning means I have to lose, then so be it
for I never really lose, though it may appear that way.
my way of imortality is not keeping the same body alive forever.
Instead, I die, and am reborn as a new form. The key to my immortality is good memory.
death and rebirth are my way of evolving.

Giving up makes you a winner...? Or giving your best effort makes you a winner....? There is no shame in loosing a challenge if you give your best effort.... As, loosing a challenge does not define you, it defines your loosing effort within the challenge....
As for the immortality stuff, I kinda~ think it is somewhat crucial to keep your body alive to be immortal.... Right....? Isn't that what defines immortality....?
Unless you are talking figuratively cryptic, in which case, you win....!

If your true nature is freedom, I hope you realize that you won't be able to realize that true nature without a body that you are "enslaved" with.
Choosing to inhabit a body and live life isn't enslavement in order to benefit others, it is the only oppurtunity in which life exists. Seperating yourself from that with one's philosophy only seperates oneself from life and reality. That certainly is beneficial.
 Peace.

So, you think that you are immortal. I prefer to stay a mere mortal. The dramas of the immortals are too petty for me to want to experience.

A warrior is tuned to survive, and he survives in the best of all possible fashions." ― Carlos Castaneda

lots of contradictions and silliness bug me about this thread, and part of it may be due to reading this kareoke pinp pong on the tiny screen of a pocket pc. not reading is more like it, since I have to skip what I have obviously already read which is most of the screen content.
Is Freedom all about repetition? that seems like the links of a binding chain to me.
when someone is just quoting, as opposed to generating 'original' thought, they are very much enchained by the dogma of some movement I think:
Note how much screen real estate is taken up by the repetition of favourite quotes and extra impact of personal pretty picture punch.
for me it is much more free feeling to see the nice little ego expression on the left (avatar and personal baloney) with some meaningful or original expressive text beside on the right, than to have to scroll through all the excessive repetition on screen of favorite quotations.
people are such big quoters even of themselves, how is that evidence of freedom? very repetitive.
now when it comes to this thread itself, it does seem like it is essentially about the '"son of god" complex.
let it die daily.
